People, read it carefully. The person he knows is claiming to have made that much on skillup synthesis from 99 -> 100. This is basically impossible, and considering 100 Clothcraft is one hell of a feat, it's kinda hard to have it and others not know about it.

I'm calling bullshit on him having 100 Clothcraft, as I've said before I've never seen him in the guild, ever.

All you would have to do is ask the 99+ weavers on your server. If they don't know him then he's not 100CC, end of story.

If you literally "skilled up" on errant capes even assuming you break 1 or 2, you would make so much more than 58m by the time you were 100 :/

Er, what I was saying is that he has 100CC, I don't know how he funded that without hearing how he did it.

I also added that he said he could make 58M in three synths, not neccessarily make 58M gil going from 99->100. Any three synths.

As for the OP all i can think is '3 synths' = HQ fee for nobles/dalmatica commissions. I don't think the person was claiming they can just sit down and make X item 3 times and make that much.
They were probably just saying 'if I hq 3 particular synths I would make that much' but figured they would come across as a 'leet crafter' if they were more vague in their statement.

Hell I could make 3 cursed cuirass-1 and make obscene gil(~150mil) but the odds are pretty damn low of that occuring

It's true, if you can only play 3-4hours a night it's kind of hard to find the appeal in watching darters flap around in your face instead of crafting.

Time really becomes the enemy, it's near impossible to run out of things to craft to make money if you do your research. One of my crafting friends quit their HNMLS because they didnt care for the drama or camping kings every night. I still help camp kings for LS members because i'd like to see them get stuff (i'm not getting anything and im fine with that) but it does run counter to my own personal goals of leveling my craft and funding dynamis currency purchases.

My point is, I doubt this dude even has 100 CC, let alone the whole arguement if he made money or not. Even contracted synthesis are going to have a price tag that's relatively high, and pending the item it's going to be pretty easy to find out where it came from.

From my knowledge, the only highlevel CC (NA) on Fairy that're still active are Skyl (99.*+3), Argentina (96?+2/3?), Darkshire (90?+2/3?), and Xavi (80?+2). I believe Attack has 100 Cloth, but I'm fairly sure (not 100% though) that he's not active anymore.

I'm sure there are more in the making, and I know there's a few more 70/80's people out there, I just don't know their names off the top of my head. This dude though is making claims that, as Aurik said, he's full of shit. ;o

There's like 20 90+ on Fenrir, at least 5 or so are 100 now. There's more than is possible to keep up with really.

But still, they're full of it. Anyone with it that high is going to have something signed somewhere or be making something for someone. No one gets a craft to 99 to sit on it and not say anything about it.

Damn right, I have a signed Lilac Corsage floating around there somewhere. Someone asked me to make it for their in-game wife or w/e. That was when I was lv50? Cloth. Not much difference now (55.3+1), but the point still stands XD

The only thing I could possibly think of is breaking a subligar and making Bard JSE body or successfully breaking 3 subligars both of which would cost a significant amount to even attempt and would be a considerable risk of loss. I kinda gotta agree with the bullshit theory on this too.

imo there would be a 100 CC'er around (like me) that knows the market so well you could almost name everyone's level just based off what they buy at the AH. It's nice to know what to HQ next based on key AH history on certain things.

Sneaking up 100CC on siren without me knowing would be impossible, and in the last 2 weeks I watched our first gilseller pass 99 >_< Hangs out with gilfarmer groups and goes from 60-99 in 4 weeks..............nice ><

i doubt hes what he claims. And i have never sean his name in the clothcrafters AA meeting forum on allakazam and i think i have meet most the HL clothcrafter in that forum at one time or other.

but can he make 3 crafts and make 58m gil. Ya but the odds are impossible to guage.

There was a post in the Allakhazam Clothcrafting Thread about someone owning the Mahatma body market (Not sure how anyone can OWN this market, since it's impossible to get tier 1 on the synth and subcrafts... but someone on some server can do it repeatedly.)

He could be making noble's tunics and have gotten really lucky or something, who knows. I know most of the clothcrafters on fairy, the JP ones pretty much synth to sell out of bazaars, or make prism capes. I dunno, he's probably lying.
