People are only allowed to have fun if they're Blms, huh?
If it works, it works. Good on them. They did 4 runs and only lost 2 wyverns the entire time, so it doesn't look to me like they had much of a problem.

in all the times i've done KSNM30 with blms, we never wiped.

Contrast this to the times I went with a standard pt. With the melees giving the scorpion tons of free TP (hi THF, hi MNK, hi barraging RNG), it wasn't any surprise that they woke up so often. Oops, I'm dead, time to eat R1 kekeke ^_^

Sure, I could do it the normal way and throw a bone to the other 13 non-BLM-BRD jobs out there. However, I don't feel like being raped by 5 scorpions every 30 seconds, and I like having a healthy lv75 buffer. BLMs only (and maybe 1 leech) kthx.

Oh shit.. I actually read the topic, and thats one of my good friends on Siren server (Kentai, I know the others too). Alot of those DRGs have pretty good gear, but it seems like something just about any 6 jobs could do that can handle themselves solo. (6NINs, 6BSTs, 6RDMs)

KS30 Desert Swarm is a joke. I go PLD/NIN with sub par gear and we own. NIN/WAR WAR/NIN PLD/NIN BLM BLM RDM/BLM. Now thats an easy run, BLMs are in charge of sleeping, RDM back up cures, and sleeps. Pull 2 at a time. NIN runs all the way back , the PLD and WAR fight a little before the circle pit area. Keep shadows up and don't be stupid and its an easy win. Yeah it takes about 5~7 minutes but whatever. 0/17 on V Claw.

yeah, a decent blm group fit in 10 runs an hour, with 4 blms.

And for everyone out there that hopes to get lucky and get a claw...drop rate by my group's calculation is ~5.5%

So..there are better options for regular groups.
