Some comments about the fight (If you want to be surprised by the fight, stop reading here): You get 60 minutes and we needed all of them on this first attempt. The strange thing is the zone isn't just the fight against Proto-Ultima. We had to run around a little to find him in the beginning, but as we did we passed about 6-7 Armory Crates that were laying around. We were affraid to open them not knowing what would pop so we skipped them, but I have a feeling they might pop the Enhanced animals (flamingo, pugil, etc) that people have found in the .dat's and might drop coins/chips similar to the gunpods in the Proto-Omega BC. So maybe if you can take Proto-Ultima out fast enough, you have time to farm for more coins/chips before opening the last crate with the organs.

The fight itself was pretty straight forward for the first 50% or so, then hate got really, really random. It started drawing our mages in regardless of hate level. It even drew in someone a few seconds after they died over other BLMs who had been nuking and stunning the entire fight. This wasn't so bad, but the real killer is, is when is starts spamming a move that rivals Spike Flail, except it has a timer. All I'm going to say about it, is that when the timer reaches 0...be somewhere else. We saw no way of evading it, not even with Utsusemi. During the countdown (30...20...10...5..4..3..2..1..BOOM...and sadly those aren't seconds) it seemed to not attack but just kept drawing in people with hate so someone is always going to die to it.

Other moves it did included an AoE Voidsong+Terror and random Magic and Physical Immunities. BLMs didn't get resisted much, but it does have Magic Def on par with Wyrms (Thundaga III Magic Burst for ~550).

Think that's about everything I can remember from the fight.

Did it spawn adds that dropped Chips? Ultima is a bit of a pain, 6 pre-fights wheras Omega is only 4. Would be nice if Ultima dropped chips aswell.

I read the post tyvm. He made an assumption that the chests may pop mobs that drop chips which sounds quite reasoanable. However he said nothing about if he recieved or did not recieve any chips from the fight itself. Which was my question, perhaps you need to read that more carefully, son.

And... You think he would mention it the way he did if he already discovered something else that did it already? That is to say, if Proto-Ultima spawned adds that dropped coins/chips, I seriously doubt he'd neglect to mention that but make very sure to suggest that he thinks the other chests on the floor may pop mobs which drop them? Such an omission would likely be intentional, so why even bother to ask, smart guy?

Only thing we got was what was in the Armory Crate that popped after Ultima died which was 4 coins and the claw+cerebellum. There were no adds and we received no chips.

Heh we wished. I'm honestly not sure what they were, but we saw it jump from 30 to 20 in under 10 seconds so it's something faster. Could be random for all I know though because once or twice it seemed faster than other times. I think we also got hit once at the end without even seeing a countdown but it might have been a different move, just saw over half the alliance drop with no countdown warning.

That was when CoP first came out, and some JP played with dat swaps, she changed the gigas in qufim to Omega and that's in delkfutt's tower.

Also if i remember correctly, she changed her moghouse to become Al'Taeu, and was running around that zone before anyone else got a chance to.
