what people arent getting is that they could do damage to AV normally, sure somewhat resisted but still.
Unless the jailer weapons hit for 1kdamage+ PER HIT, its not the solution

but what if the weapons have a hidden debuff effect for his regen or something along those lines, as far as i know the winds for sky dont say anything about debuffing the gods, yet they do anyways
Yeah as far as I know no one tried the jailer weapons on him, but I sort of wonder what good they can do as it's already possible to damage him with normal weapons/magic. Unless they have a damage bonus (the weapons are low damage for their class, just attack often) they don't seem like they would help much or unless they dispel/lower his rate of regen.Originally Posted by Surealistic
I would have tried my Faith H2H, but I was on BLM during the fight.
I ment all the jailers. Maybe thats why they don't have 100% Drop rates....you have to do something in the fight for them to drop so AV will have that power.Originally Posted by Delsan

Whatever the tactic is mad props to SE for making somthing amazingly creative and unique o.o
A number of people have suggested using the virtue weapons on AV, but as Tiberion posted, that isn't going to change its ridiculous regen unless they have some ridiculous multiplier or have some hidden dispel like the sky gods and winds.
Something that hasn't been mentioned before that popped into my mind though: what if there was a use for Virtue Stones on this fight? They give you a "Virtue" effect, if I'm not mistaken (in the description for Virtue Stone). What if that intimidates AV, or otherwise makes the fight more survivable?
I didn't know giving a mob deathtouch was creative and uniqueOriginally Posted by Arthen

just a note... Samurai can use the Halberd too. I'm sure of the 80+ ppl there, at least 1 had sam leveled.
Also note that you could always pop AV by Calling for Help on the Jailer of Love and zerging it. But I think people are more concerned about having to get the 4, 5, and 6th virtues rather than being able to defeat the Jailer of Love.
Does this really work? If you CFH a mob that spawns another mob, the 2nd mob still spawns like normal? I never knew this before... has this been tested on Olla pots or something?Originally Posted by Faranim
even if it were true and everyone started doing it, SE would make it where pops have CFH on too
ive seen it done on the olla NM , CFH pot pops a regular claimed mob.
When you CFH on an Aern, it's not CFH'd if it reraises.
How many people would write threads on how many forums about the kill not being "legit" then? Personally I'd go either way on this idea...I just want to see it dead so SE will stop laughing at us.Originally Posted by Faranim

lol @ SE for making AV a DRG. Probably did that to spite the people that dissed DRG at one point or another (everyone?).
Anyways, that's absolutely nuts. Vrtra +1.
