I think it boils down to whether or not your hnmls has decent people in it or not. If it does, you like getting BB and destroyers for your mnks, because it helps them out. You like getting your thfs good gear, even if they're only th bitches. You go pop Shen for your whms even though there's no way a whm woulc be meleeing a hnm. You do fun stuff and get good gear for your ls mates, because even if it doesn't help you kill a hnm faster, you're helping a friend get something cool.

If you don't, you only do stuff to kill hnms faster, if it doesn't help that, the screw it. Which...is kinda fucked up, and negates the purpose of hnms, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

Regardless...I expect you can't kill a CFH JoL and pop AV.

ah, yes...because mnk's melee so many hnm's:
Aspi, KB, Faf, Nid, Kirin, Wyrms, Gods...

Far from a complete list; just because there are some HNMs where monks do better damage (than other melees, and than meleeing themselves) chi blasting doesn't mean they're worthless meleeing hnms (like thf).

mnk melee for good damage on Kirin IF they have the best gear. 20-40 damage per fist with bard songs and hedgehog pie. hell Deakka even pulled hate off the other melees/tanks/blms just from melee + WS. BUT chi blast may be able to do more over time, dunno.

Good choice^^ It's easy and a ton of fun to merit with, it'll make your black mage really powerful in a hurry if you so choose.

I recently joined a new LS. They have 2 thf's w/ TH4, to my TH3. We all have pretty good play hours with a few extra useful jobs lvled. Theirs is more support (and I guess dmg if you consider rng DD), and mine is dmg. Based on this, its more useful for one of them to come thf instead of me.

I'm always ready to attend on my thf though.

Yup, we usually bring a thief with th2 or th3 and letthem use knife. But mostly because thief is there only job.

They can also do alot less. Last DL I did firaga, blizzaga, and thundaga3 for 140~200. The time before they all did 900~1300. ;\

I've never been resisted like that on DL. ._. Granted, Spirit Lantern seems to be the sex for that fight.. I did ~6500 in our last fight. I don't have the exact numbers, but I know I've been between 5k and 7k in the 3 wins. Only shot I have.. and no this wasn't the ES nuke.. etudes hadn't landed to me by then ;x

Did any rng try to shadowbind AV? If it would work, you could have rng take turns with shadowbind so everyone can work on the wyverns in the mean time.

Did any wyvern use more the 1 2hour ability? Is there anyway to distinguish which wyvern does what or are they all the same? Did the one that use maji..nin 2 hour die?

If so then allience of smn and bst could work on the wyverns pretty well.


Other mobs popped in the general area? That's some TP for melee if so.

Since AV doesn't aggro, there's always the option of having X amount of people at a time try out different things to obtain more information. R3 them and keep trying different things and develop a strat from that.

I guess the main problem is gettin Jlo down to a point where a normal 2 allience teams can take him down without too much trouble...


I don't even have sea access so I don't know much about anything there. I'm still stuck on 5-3 with no static or help -.-

I've all but quit THF after a year plus of having it be the job I play 95% of the time I'm logged in. I think all thieves probably get to the same point at some time or another. Can't do shit for damage, can't do much of anything vs. HNM really. There are some instances where a very pimped out THF can do ok, but it just pales so so much in comparrison to pretty much everything else. About the only saving grace we have anymore is that we can equip an incredible amount of enmity to transfer to the tank, but then again, the damage is so low that a hardcore chi blast negates it anyway. Blah...got off track...I'm burnt out on THF and I'm sick and tired of being everyone's TH bitch only to hear shit like "Ric your TH is broken" when shit does'nt drop. As much as I hate THF, if my LS call for help on JoL to get to AV...yeah, I'd be headed to the safehold alright and have fun with your wind crystals. This game isn't all about items, but it's fun to get stuff sometimes and that's a slap in the face.

If your ls wanted to cfh on JoL just to get to AV quickly you shouldn't really be mad (considering they just want to find a way to kill AV for the first time or experiment with it). If they kept cfh'ing even after they killed AV once just to collect items from it then yeah i can see why you'd be mad.

I think being in a ls that has killed AV wud be worth more than that torque for your thf but thats just my opinion.

True, i'm not saying he has no right to do that but you shouldn't have to think like that. Thf will always suck in dmg compared to other melee's other than drg, one torque isn't going to change that.

If you could manage to kill AV w/ your ls due to cfhing on JoL all the time just to practice wouldn't it feel more satisfying than getting a torque? i dunno just my opinion
