PSP does outperform the DS, true. But its gaming library sucks :\ it needs more good games. It has like.. 3.. good games and that's it. DS doesn't have many more in my opinion, but Nintendo still has the GBA: SP which is king of handhelds with the gaming library In counsels... Nintendo has a decent system but is lackin in good games (again.. my opinion). With the upcoming counsels.. Nintendo is just behind in all :\

PSP did well out of the gates...but no killer aps since then have slown its growth.

DS the exact opposite...stumbled at start, now several awesome games have allowed it to put distance between itself and the PSP.

Either way, if you add the SP which continues to sell well (and have cool games released, Earthbound 2 is coming out soon^^), Nintendo still owns the handheld market. Personally, I refuse to buy a handheld that's more than $100 because it's so easy to lose/destroy (especially the PSP screen), so I'll stick with my SP and play stuff on my laptop.

It's something All Stars I think. I know the game you're talking about but its name eludes me at the moment too.

Anyone who says the PSP is rocking the DS is a Sony fanboy. Nintendo's DS is outselling it on a global scale. I think PSP was catching up to it, but Nintendogs was this gigantic hit in Japan that sold a shitload of DSes.

When did a system being good necessarily coincide with wether or not it sold well on the market. Nintendo likes to play it safe.. and aim their latest systems towards 6 year olds and therefore get the bigger piece of the pie. Doesnt make it a better system, and sure as hell will never make me wanna buy one.. or anyone else whos 20something I'd imagine.

The fact that a bunch of 12 year olds are buying a system and playing it, doesnt make a system more appealing to me.

P.S. If I wasnt so poor Id have a PSP... but alas.

I never understood some of my friends being perfectly alright buying a gameboy pocket and then a gameboy color a little while later. Um aren't you the slightest bit mad that you just bought a new gameboy and then nintendo comes out with a slightly better one a little while later?

And isn't there a new gameboy coming up that is similar in power to the PSP? So what happens to the DS?

edit: and there were even variations within each gameboy. It turns out they just came out with a new model for the SP. It has a backlit screen now. Great, so they can get people to buy a better gameboy before their new better gameboy comes out.

I reckon it would come out on PSP, Sony would be fucking stupid to pass up FF7 (or any up to 9) on the PSP.

I can't see SE making a FF remake on the DS though, and although PSP has crap games out atm it can double as an MP3 and movie player which is a plus for me cause some MP3 players are so shitty and I refuse to buy an iPod cause Apple seriously piss me off. DS doesn't have many good games out, and Nintendogs is a fucking stupid game (yes I have played it long enough to call it shit).

Well they are 3rd in in the console race but they're still the biggest handheld game company in the world. They sell gameboys like its candy.

Uh, thats just the way business works. Why do people pay $400 for a brand new graphics card, only to have a better one come out 3 months later and pay $600 for it to see minimal (if any) improvement in their pc games? Why do people upgrade from a 2.5 ghz computer to a 2.7 ghz computer?
