I don't think many LS' won Tiamat on their first try. It took us two tries I think, both wiping at around 1-5% because we weren't careful about sleeping and rage mode wasn't really. Of course that was when we were using Rangers as our main damage... lol after 2-3 ranger fights we recruited summoners and it went alot better QQ; As far as tank survivability, there's really not much you can do, it's very dependant on the whms imo.

Like someone else doesn't deserve to have pride because they took more people to do it, make sense?

it does make a difference though, you can win a Tug of War 8 vs 8 or you can win with 8 vs 10, how can you say it makes no difference how many people were there?

and a lot of people can finish a marathon but only one person can win it, so how can you say there's no difference in how long it takes to do something?

how many people you need, how fast you do it, how many people have to die in doing it. all of those are ever so slight measurements of achievement. because quite simply, just beating something in this game doesn't say much, a lot of other factors also mean something.

it's not just arrogance talking all the time. though undoubtedly a lot of the people who make these achievements show some arrogance (and rightfully so imo).

Not at all, either situation would be downplaying someone elses achievement (or lack thereof). We go back to arrogance and epenis (epenii?). Me personally, I think it's just as cool for a team to go and wipe, as it would be to have 200 people out there just attacking it (CFH AV anyone?). But that's me..

AS had like 50+ at their first tiamat i heard, i watched HP kill their first one and they had a fuckton of members and deaths. Not much was know about the dragons, so ppl brought as many as they could. They still killled it, and now u make fun of them cuz their LS went to shit from what it used to be.

ok, time for me to drop the fucking hammer in this thread:

i watched PV fight their first tiamats and it was godawful ugly. i remember being in an exp party with some of them the next day and they were all like 10,000 exp deleveled into 74. having addressed that, PV really isn't worth the time nor the effort to argue with as most of the linkshell is no older than 16 as can be seen by the screenshots in the initial post

as for PO, we killed Tiamat 2 times before KG joined, and have since killed at least 3 J-Dragons with myself and Sanou tanking it; oh and did i mention that when we kill it, we do so with no deaths and in right around an hour? and how about Vrtra? i think the last time i checked, we killed that with about 30 people, 6 of whom were black mages and only 3 tanks even in the zone.

PO players are arrogant because of what we have done, because we're proud of our accomplishments. you would understand that if you had actually accomplished anything other than buying your account and your gil, right splooge?

Don't get me wrong Asylum, I have absolutely 0 respect for PV, no matter what timeframe we're talking about. I'm not trying to portray Rzero as some sort of GOD LS, because we're not, we have our troubles just the same as any respectable LS. But we don't solve problems by throwing numbers at it and comprising our LS of the most selfish and immoral people to play the game. Not to say you all are, cause it's no secret I'm friendly with Kenz, Kre, TC, and others who happen to be in PV. They're cool people, but I don't respect their LS for reasons apparent throughout this thread.

If rzero recruited half the server to overwhelm tiamat with numbers we could have been the first too. I don't care about being first. I like being able to do it when our LS is ready and show that skill overcomes numbers. I'm allowed to be proud that our LS beat tiamat with 25-30 with few deaths, and I'm allowed not to give a shit that you killed it first with an obscene number of people.

i already leveled to 75 and i got splooge as a naked 73BLM with an undeleveled WHM subjob. I joined PV with horrible fucking gear and worked for every piece i bought. So in that sense ya it was different.
