Proof positive that dalmatica is nothing but a status symbol now.

It always gas been. It has no casting stats unlike Warlock's Tabard, Duelist's Tabard, Errant Body, the very crummy Chaustable, and even Crimson Scale Mail. (+10 MND and +10 INT vs. Resist Paralyze, holy crap, sign me up!)

I'm not going to minimize how great Auto-Refresh is, but if you look at Noble's Tunic, Black Cloak, Yinyang Robe, or even Plastron, there are other useful stats on them that make them worthwhile. (Eventhough +damage taken on Plastron is pure bullshit.)

If it came down to an A:body being trashed, I would take one (not that it would ever come to that), but cost to benefits the JSE bodies are generally better.

E body is extremely common from Nidhogg for the rest of us who can actually kill Nidhogg without claiming darters. The last E body we got, was almost sold but instead was given to a level 38 Warrior. PO is giving them to people who are 2nd or 3rd job BSTs. Between us and PO we have probably 30-35 E bodies total in our history. Don't get discouraged if you're in a decent HNM shell - they drop a lot.[/quote:6b522]

Yeah, our LS, or the NA side of the server as a whole even, has barely killed any nidhoggs. We have 0M.Bodies, 2 dalms (neither from nid), and 4-5 n.legs. Yet we have all our active DRKs WARs and even a BST outfitted w/ a.hauberk [/quote:6b522]

(we have a couple altjob wars and bsts who don't have it also)

I think the point was that RDM get to equip their AF2 hat as well as dalmatica for an extra refresh, and that BRD gets to equip dalmatica + some random cool headpiece.

I think the point was that RDM get to equip their AF2 hat as well as dalmatica for an extra refresh, and that BRD gets to equip dalmatica + some random cool headpiece.

And I think the point was that Dalmatica is replaceable. There is an alternative refresh piece for those jobs making Dalmatica not very sought after. Same with Adaman Hauberk, its not that much better than a Haubergeon/berk+1.

Koenig cuirass however, is unique because there is no other body piece that offers the same kind of stats it gives, making it truly viable and the number one body abjuration in an HNM LS's wishlist. Remember when we had everything BUT mbodies? Hell, do you remember when I got my body abjuration? I was ecstatic yes but also depressed that mbody didn't drop for arno. It would've done him alot more good.

yeah, you can always say there is a verm cloak. but how could u ever say vcloak > dalm? endgame pieces aren't ALWAYS rediculously better then other options... flame ring > ruby ring (since you cant have 2 rajas :D ). But they are generally better in some way then whatever else.

dalm slightly better standalone, and with ability to wear a hat, can be a lot better. Say... mahatma or raven (for a ton of -emnity while still having refresh while curing)

Obviously I wasn't saying that, I was saying that when Nidhogg drops to the floor and your LS leaders/officers look at the pools, they wouldn't be overly ecstatic about an aquarian or earthen drop compared to a martial drop.

yes, exactly. Back before our double drop aspi, we had 0 dalm drops in the LS, so it was a big thing for us to have. So now, if we kill nidhogg, we do pretty much just hope for martial (there arent a ton of people who adore dalms, we already have most of our main jobs hauberks and n.legs), but all of the abjurations have people who want them.
