Hello, I basically signed up to give my side of the story and give people a better understanding on why I did what I did. Let’s start this off by saying Drew is not a very bright person, I am pretty sure he is 14 years old like Cephius said. So we pull Nidhogg by some miracle, I was there from start of the window till Nidhogg popped. We proceed to kill it, at around 40% low behold Armanie comes back from being AFK in Jeuno and runs to Dragon’s Aery. At around 10% he finally makes it to Dragon’s Aery, we proceed to kill Nidhogg and for once without darters lol. To my amazement e.body drop the item I have been waiting on for so long, it finally dropped.

Then the drama starts….Drew asks on the linkshell who wants to lot on the e.body. At this point I was pretty much speechless. I proceed to send Drew a /tell saying that 2 officers have already told me that I was next line for an e.body. He ignores me….all of a sudden Armanie starts crying like a little baby and someone I think it was the leader of tank party invited him. Armanie cast lots and as you can see in the screen shots and out lotted me. At this point I no longer cared about the e.body no more, I couldn’t believe Drew let Armanie lot against me. Armanie has been in PV since day 1, I joined back in april I think it was. In the short time I was in the LS I was able to pass Armanie is LS hours, for those that care or are interested PV’s reward system is based on LS Hours at each event we have a person taking time for each member that is there. We basically have a LS accountant that crunches all the numbers <3 Ricckky. Anyway back on topic, at this point no way in hell was I gonna let Armanie have that e.body. So I broke the alliance, I could have QM everything but like I said earlier I no longer cared about the item since I felt so betrayed by my own linkshell. So the alliance breaks and all the items disappear, at this point I just logged to cool off.

Do I regret what I did? Not at all, in my eyes this was the only way to go about it. My only regret is I didn’t quit PV sooner. I was going to quit PV back when we made that Vrtra run lol, boy was that some horrible crap. We had our whole ls down there minus Armanie because he was to busy farming hakutaku eyes (Nice dedication to the ls no?), even when Armanie was asked to come to Vrtra he basically told everyone “Fuck off Im farming haku eyes”. So back on too the Vrtra run, this is when I really learned how stupid Drew was. With about 100+ people in KRT Drew like a idiot starts speed hacking…..I don’t care what anyone says he was speed hacking. Not only was he speed hacking but he started teleporting around KRT to kite Vrtra. We ended up wiping, and this lead to all the drama on the KI forums lol. The day after Vrtra, I was writing up my “I quit pv” post on the PV private forums (which most of the server has access to lol). But I was talked out of quitting by the few good people that were left in PV, basically the few friends I had in the ls. Boy was that the biggest mistake I ever made, this is my only regret. I should have quit after that Vrtra debacle, and moved on.

Some may still not condone my actions, but to me it was the only way to go about it. I just like to give a big thanks to all the people who agreed on what I did and supported me. That about covers most of it I think.

And to whoever that dude was who said dalm is junk for BRDs and RDMs and that VC is just as good, compare VC to Duelist's Chapeau + Dalmatica. Compare again to Kabuto or Shair (for style!) + Dalmatica, or Crow Beret + Dalmatica. VC is cool and all, but Dalma is better. A Benz is a status symbol too, but that doesn't negate the fact that it's still a better ride than a Toyota. D:

Thats pretty impressive, who was 1st and 2nd? What dates were they killed on. BG should have all dates of all kills to see what got killed first.

That LS had the 3rd NA solo kill of tiamat...of course its a whole new group of players in the shell now.

PV had the first solo tiamat on midgard, but that was was awhole different shell.

And I think the point was that Dalmatica is replaceable. There is an alternative refresh piece for those jobs making Dalmatica not very sought after. Same with Adaman Hauberk, its not that much better than a Haubergeon/berk+1.

Koenig cuirass however, is unique because there is no other body piece that offers the same kind of stats it gives, making it truly viable and the number one body abjuration in an HNM LS's wishlist. Remember when we had everything BUT mbodies? Hell, do you remember when I got my body abjuration? I was ecstatic yes but also depressed that mbody didn't drop for arno. It would've done him alot more good.

Dalmatica isn't replaceable for everyone. RDM with AF2 hat is getting an extra refresh with it. Even with bard song you're looking at 17% greater MP regen, without bard you're looking at 30% more MP regen. I don't know about you but I'm skeptical Koenig even comes close to giveing that big of an improvement compared to alternatives.

It totally depends on what kind of RDM's you have. If you have RDM's that don't step up to solo-stunning, refreshing 5 people, main debuffing, and trying to toss cures at the same time then dalmatica is a 9m gil e-peen.

In our LS it's a tool that works. You'd be amazed at how much more you can do when you're able to equip AF1 hat at the same time as you try to do everything else and get "only" that extra 1mp/tick.

If you stand up, cast 6 refreshes and a couple wtfwhynot nukes and /heal, then pass the Dalmatica to the bard next to you.

AS was first, no idea who was 2nd, and PV was 3rd
I think 1 or 2 team up linkshells killed it before PV (dragonslayers I belive)

PV before WoW (so like maybe a few weeks after CoP wyrms introduced, took tiamat to 5% when no other NALS were even denting tiamat. Then WoW came and most of their dedicated members left FFXI)


good post marx, told ya back when i left pv it wasn't the same anymore, and it was the best decision i made in the game leaving that linkshell



edit: I'm pretty sure GO (midgard) was the first NALS to pretty much kill any HNM, first to get D.Ring and full koenig PLD (back in like march2004)
