Although these are very great ideas, this would take a lot of effort and hard work. I mean you are going to have to get thousands of votes, all from different servers too. It would be great if these ideas actually get into the game, but I don't know. You also have a lot of options, you're going to need to have a thousand or so votes on one topic.

I hope you guys pull this, I wish you all the best of luck.

Lame nit-pick: BCNMs, Dynamis, and Limbus aren't instanced. They are private, in that they are reserved for your group of people and outsiders aren't able to interfere with the encounter, but a seperate copy or instance of the encounter isn't created. If another party wants to do it at the same time as you, they have to get in line.

CoP mission fights are instanced and I'm pretty sure BCNMs are as well.

That's why ENM style is perfect. It adds lock out so people can't farm 99 kindred seals all day for 12 Nidhoggs in a row. Hell, I'd be content if they removed ALL sellable items from said ENMs only to give the abjurations and other RE items (Ridill, Andravaughts (spelling and yes, I know they suck but meh), etc..)

theyre pseudo instanced. if theres a limit, and sometimes when they get crowded you cant enter, thats not a true instance.

I think that something like this should be implemented:

Behemoth, Fafnir, and Adamantoise are turned into like a one or two hour spawn with their Drops adjusted (give Adamantoise something good, no Ridill or Abj from Fafnir, etc.) and make Nidhogg/KB/Aspid a completely random spawn between them with the maximum time being 1.5 days.

Sea really needs to be improved also, make things 100% drops with good loot.

Tiamat/Jourg/Vrtra should each be given a Super Spell to drop (Vrtra maybe a Drain + Aspir all in one scroll type thing, Jourg some super Ice Spell like maybe Comet, and Tiamat Meteor.) Also give them a WHM and RDM spell they can drop. Give them each an Abjuration too.

Dynamis is pretty gay, I think introducing more currency into the game somehow will help.

Either way, with a lock out, I seriously doubt you'll see that much of a line considering.. there is usually 5 LS trying to camp a day. Since other people can sit in zone (But not enter BC) and swap members out for lotting, there's not real loss.

On Unicorn for example, there is about 5 LS that care about HNMs.
Wabo, Fortune, Bonkurarz, RiOT, and Pretzle (Seriously, Minimeee needs to be shot for coming up with Pxztlraalesomething... Break linkshell and make a decent name )

Others show up here and there, but that's generally the ones that show up to almost every camp. Let's say they had 18 members each LS only and no others (some LS will take 25-30 just for claim, etc).

That's 90 people in the area. 18 will fight. 72 will go home not fighting and having wasted 3 hours of their life. Of the 18, only 2-3 will get anything. Most LS will have a bank so there's no lotting on items and if you do allow free lots on money items then 5-6 people get something. 12 others get nothing but a nifty title and getting bumped up in line for next abjuration if something decent dropped.

Now we all know that usually there's closer to 125-150 people in the zone.
If it pops last window, that's 375 hours wasted by all players. Now let's assume that all 3 kings run in a straight pattern so all 125 players can make all 3 camps. 1125 hours. 46.875 days of hours. SE made $20 off 125 people in one hour. There is 32 servers. That's roughly 1500 days in ONE day of camping HNMs shared between ALL players camping HNMs. (Again assuming that 125 players on all 32 servers camp all 3 king HNMs that spawn last window and they're there at first pop.

    You can finish the math.

Edit: That one day of players camping HNMs like I mentioned.. That's like one person playing non-stop for 4.1 years straight.

I couldn't decide I'd say the biggest one would be the 3 kings. I like the ENM idea where you can do it once every 5+ days or so for a chance at the HQ. That would be nice to have. However, it would be difficult cause a LS with say... 40ish people but not enough of the right jobs to go around.. well.. some people might get left out so I guess it'dbe good if there was an "unlimited" amount that could enter but continue the 18 people total only fighting. Or atleast let those other people go to wait where they might get the loot. Just cause they aren't the "right job" for the fight isn't really fair would you want your SMN, BLM, etc getting abj they can't use after all?

I think one big thing SE needs to look at is how things are done. Right now SMN and BLM are the big DD of the game with the other jobs, while being decent DD, not being able to be used as much as I'm sure they'd like. Look at the JoL fight.. 30BLM... 30... if they had 30 melee they wouldn't have beaten it. Kinda rediculous imo.

Point taken, but people used to say that no other job besides blm could solo zerg Divine Might either until monks did it.

It kind of leaves SE between a rock and a hard place. Buffing melee jobs due to complaints about overpowered blm zerging will make most opponents in this game completely trivial. To experienced and skilled linkshells, most mobs already fall under this category with a few exceptions. The easiest thing for SE to do would be to nerf blm, which I'm sure we don't really want.

    As for items...

In the Sage Sundi interview, when asked about making relic weapons more attainable, the answer was something along the lines of it's exactly as was intended to be.

Blazer said it best, as much as people don't want to hear or admit it:

I would like to see better af2 droprates or a way to choose af2. With new jobs being added in the future, we are only going to see more junk af2 drop that no one really wants or needs. Dynamis is different from hnm camping because you have no competition. You are free to go to any zone you want, so you know what you're getting beforehand, as opposed to camping Adamantoise just because there's a chance for Aspidochelone. Nothing sucks more than having multiple copies of af2 drop that get free lotted because no one is close to being able to use it. I guess it would be hard to keep people coming to dynamis if they actually got the af they wanted in a timely manner though

Anyway, I don't think SE is going to do anything about the 3 kings. You'll continue to camp them whether they do or not, and that's the whole point: SE wants to keep people addicted to this game. I think something needs to be done about sea and the wyrms, because as they are, they aren't worth the continued devotion that the 3 kings get. Most people imo do sea just because it's something new, but that novelty will wear off soon if JoL and AV are as ridiculous as they seem.

The biggest flaw is without a doubt the CoP wyrms. /vote
    WASTE.OF.FUCKING.TIME

Furthermore, if Tiamat, Jormungand, Ouryu and Vrtra were more lucrative, Fafnir and Nidhogg would seem less amazing in comparison, likely shooting down a lot of those complaints. If 2 of the wyrms are loaded, why can't the other 4 be? '-'

Oh well if Sea is rough getting to the end, make Love/AV just a tad less fucking retarded and the rewarded items are worth the timesink, as the Sins and Auras are almost relic-like in luxury. If those items were actually feasibly obtainable by a group smaller than 200, I'm sure people would be content with Sea. I know I would. If anything, the sea option should've been weaken these 2 NMs, not beef pools of the NMs leading to the end, as I really feel AV will spit out like 5-8 sins/auras per.

Merit points.. bleh.. I'm maxed on them, and they already expanded it greatly once.. you could almost get too powerful with the time put into it. I think it's fine.

Other: Move D. Feet to Kirin and make Aspi the Abj dropper with only 3 options, not Kirin. Fucking tired of those pieces of shit on a 12th day Aspi. And finish making a wyrm of each element, then a final one, even more retarded than AV, with its added wing effect being Bad Breath.

If you think that SE is going to make things like dynamis currency and sea pop items more readily available, or increasing pop frequency on the 3 kings, you're sadly mistaken. SE is trying to make things harder to get, so that you truely have to work for it. Sky was a failed experiment in their eyes, they didn't plan on ZMs being so easy and gods being able to be killed in minutes.

Keep in mind I haven't read most of these posts because it's 5:30 AM and I've been up all night playing poker, but of what I've read, only this seems reasonable:
    Quote Originally Posted by Xavier

I would move Fafnir to an 18 man ENM with an increased drop rate on his gear.

I would change Aspid, King Behemoth and Nidhogg to daily pops, which would have the effect of massively flooding the game with their drops and maxing people out very fast.

I would released Cursed 2.0 that makes the current line of gear absurdly underpowered, allowing the new Wyrms to be less of a chore, as well giving the kills a sense of tangible accomplishment.

Flooding the market with the current line of abj, in a normal MMO, would not be a negative thing because the nature of MMOs is to constantly advance and get stronger and better looking gear every few patches. Its assbackwards that the playerbase should covet gear that are two years old in a MMO.

Sea, in all honesty, should have been mirroring sky and the 3 wyrms should have been mirroring Faf/KB/Aspid with cursed 2.0 in an almost identical setup. Nobody would have complained if Square had just copied their last expansion, its a good system.
Only problem with that is they can't remove things from the game data once they're implemented. Like it or not, Adamantoise and Behemoth are there to stay.

Since the CoP wyrm pool adjustment, meripo revamp, and adding more wyrms are really the only options that Square would even consider, I chose CoP wyrm pool adjustment. A meripo revamp would be nice, but I'd like to fight the CoP wyrms at some point, just to say I have. But until Jorm and Tiamats treasure pools are altered.. I really have no initiative to.

It really makes me sad to see how many people actually chose the 3 kings option. There is more to end-game then the 3 kings. /sigh

    Went with Other.

All of the above, but like Fira said, not so much with the three kings. There is more to this game than this, and I think SE needs to address that. All increasing the frequency on three kings does it make people hang out in those three zones more often. That would change nothing. Yet, if sea drops were increased and the loot pool on the wyrms were expanded, then there wouldn't be this feeling of nonchalance in regards to them.

On another note, I do like that idea that's been tossed around about having ENM/KSNMs of the three kings with a chance of the abjs to drop there.

Change the names of Chevlik or whatever to Behemoth, and Turtle Gigante or whatever to Adamantoise. Make them give the title when beat. Problem solved!

What about the people who have never been able to claim an HQ? I think it's a bit harsh that there are many, many LS's across the servers that can kill Nidhogg in 20 minutes that still have 0% chance of claiming it. Then a maintenance happens, NM moves into JP time, and the LS that could kill Nidhogg in 20 minutes (if they could only claim it) is relegated to fighting Tiamat for those ever so coveted Fire Crystals (worse, if Tiamat is dead and they have to settle for Jorm). I think that the game took a serious turn for the worse when it stopped being about the skill/teamwork and started being absolutely 100% about the claim. I'm sure every server has one, most of the time more, LS's that farm Fafhogg for Ridills. It has to sicken you to know that there are LS's that claim Nidhogg and think "FUCK...no chance for Ridill today" (not trying to slam any of the more successful LS's here, but you get the point). Exclusivity is cool....when everyone has a fair shot to win. Coming in first place out of 5 people is gay.
