I go to a pretty big university however they are slowly "weeding out" this particular class, so for people who are in this certain area of courses, they must pass it within this year or end up in the new area which adds 7 classes into the curriculum.

And its Math For Elementary Teachers, sounds easy yes, is it easy? NO!!!!!

I've taken College Algebra and Calculus, those were not as hard and as time consuming as this class..... I mainly think it depends on the professors, some are just low lives who have forgotten what it means to be a teacher.

I'm in college algebra right now for AA/high school requirements. It's actually not that hard, but i kinda goofed around the first half of the year and didn't do my homework, so now that i'm behind (almost caught up 4tw!) it's coming much easier. My point is though, I've heard it from my friends's professors and even from my own professor. They aren't very encouraging. They always tell you that like half the class won't be there at the end of the year (which in most cases it's true) and that college algebra isn't for everybody. It sucks that they are so negative about it, but maybe they are doing it to fire you up since most teens/young adults like to prove old people wrong. I dunno, I just think it's discouraging.
