How close is this guy from Maat's cap? There is a NA release player on Pandy that is more than half way Altho he saids that's not something he wants, that he just enjoys playing various jobs.

Well, the player in my LS (which I KNOW don't want me to talk about him especially here =P but.. sorry ^^; ) has 9 jobs 70+... all 75 besides ninja 72-73 now. Every other jobs are 37+ besides Pld I think. Notable rare/ex items include Dalmatica, Black Belt, Assassin's Armlet. hmm... Likes to do BCNMs =P

He always seem to manage to find someone reliable to static brd with somehow.... Works full time and maintains a rl relationship. Pretty much sets aside 3-4 nights a week leveling, and stick to it religiously. Again, he is *not* going for maat's cap or anything. Just enjoys leveling and experiencing different jobs?

Then again, there is a second player who is probably as impressive in our same LS. Only 7 jobs (rdm close also for 8th), but he didn't really static (relentless pt leader) and took like 4 months off having to go overseas. Also maintains a rl relationship.. but not as much end-game participation, and we don't do nearly as much as other LSs in the first place.

I think the key is if a lot of ppl on this forum aren't locked down in "HNM mode", most could've easily leveled way past where these people like Slone are at, even without statics. But it's really whatever floats people's boats, as long as you enjoy it while keeping important things in perspective. That is the key point... keeping things planned and don't go overboard, have rl in perspective is really important.

Yeah I wouldn't have posted besides as example/response to the comments saying Slone spends too much time in FFxi. Maybe he does, but it's possible to manage it. It doesn't really take that much time to level jobs up after your first 75 job, and more finacially stable game wise. I think people enjoys different things. There has got to be more level 75 people playing the game, than there are that exists in "HNM ls"s. For example limbus/dynamis I don't really consider HNM.

Either case, I don't mean don't do HNMs at all. Sorry for unclear definition of "HNM mode", which I wanted to mean doing that every day of the week. You can do it as more like a once every other week/month thing, hence a lot of time doing other stuff FFxi related or otherwise.

Slone stopped playing with me as much when he went on this whole "I'm not stopping till I have maat's cap" thing. Back in the day, he always PTed w/me -.- My whm macro for him was /ja "Divine Seal" <me> , /ma "Cure IV" Slone, and he would send me a tell 5 seconds before he converted. lol >_> FFXI was fun back then.

And if it gives stats, is it always the same? Or change depending on which job you are?
