Had a WHM/SMN pull it without a problem.

They're weak, but watch for Drexerion's eagle eye shot cuz it was fatal/near fatal each time I fought him.

It's like the best great sword for paladins if you want to go defensively.

We fought this guy yesterday and got the Greatsword, Drex was up too, but didn't get the crossbow. Shadow mask, though. Phan hit everyone with Sleepga II, then hit Aero IV on the NIN, then right after that did Dimensional Death. Took him down really fast. MNK hit his 2 hour after that and we worked him down pretty fast.

The great sword looks awesome, like a Nagan +1 or something. But, what would I know? I've never been one to use great swords.

Can anyone confirm whether the respawn timer for Phanduron does not start until his brother is killed? Or will Phanduron actually respawn if his brother is left up and not killed? It is my understanding that the respawn timer will reset for both if you do kill Drex. later on, but I just wasn't clear about if it's even possible for Phanduron to respawn if Drex is never killed.

iirc, they are both on a 72 hour spawn , but if you leave one alive, the other will spawn in 24 hours.

One part wasn't answered though:

I can't really figure out if Ascalon is good or not. Nice stat boosts and really low delay but the damage is quite horrible. Looking like a Nagan is instant win though.

Reason this is good is the Enlight damage vs dragons procs 100% and I heard it's for around 30ish but haven't seen it myself. The 100% proc rate is documented on various sites though. Anyone know the amount of damage on the enspell?

its 100% proc on pet wyverns in dynamis and puks in besieged, thats all ive been able to test it on. the add effect is pretty random, can go from 0-70 from what ive seen on these weak targets. highest i remember seeing is 72 but there have also been some single digit hits.

Thanks. Guess I was a jerk in killing the one left alive, but since I had no idea when the other one was killed only way to get a reliable ToD.

Is it a hard 72 hour spawn? The only information I had been able to find outside the search on these forums had stated they were a 60-72 hour respawn when both had been killed.

I really did my best not to necrobump, searched by both Ascalon & Phanduron, only relevant post I found regarding ToD info was this one. =)

The Enlight Proct is 100%. I didn't realize Sea Puks were Dragon Class mobs either until I started using this in merits. <_<

add efffect for 70 is pretty significant. Would be interesting to see if it can reach that on NM dragons. Going from 0-70 on easy stuff though, averages out at what? 35 ish? or more hits on the lower or higher end?

If its anything like Sirocco Kukri, then the en-damage wouldn't be really affected by the level of the mob you're fighting. But then again, Sirocco is kind of unique.
