DoT or not what he does takes skill, and a shitload of the top gear.

To tell the truth, Bio does not take any skill at all to be effective, nor any gear. It's always the same, even as a lvl 37 RDM. I wonder if lvl 50 RDM can solo Genbu with just Bio2 and like infinate reraise earrings. It probably can be done.

Not only that, but not every RDM has a Dalmantica and/or Duelist's headpiece either and not due to lack of effort. What other "top gear" does he have btw?

Avesta got his dalmatica then quit his LS for the current number one JP botting LS on remora, ran by former PG/damepoorz PLD Raymond, who I think sold his account/gave it away. They're all a tad shady. But yeah he is probably the best rdm who has the ability to record his fights.

Agreed, but the ones that are impressive, dont involve that. ODS (something 6 people can wipe to... guaranteed not very often) Bionic Bug and Zipacna were the ones that caught my eye. All of these take ALOT of multi-tasking and macro switching that its just mind-boggling. Hell he straight up melee/tanks Bionic Bug the last half...that just blows my mind (also makes me feel gimp as a NIN )

Im sure he could take care of refreshing, debuffing, and MBing in a PT/Alliance situation after seeing what he does in those videos. Soloing as a NIN has made me a much better NIN tank, because its those little nuances you pick up while solo, and your reaction times which are honed. I realize a RDMs job is different, but judging by the looks of things, Im sure he pays attention to his role in a PT situation also.

Oh and BTW, I agree with the guy who said soloing doesn't necessarily make you the best RDM ever. I want to see Avesta tanking wyrms as a RDM, then I'll bow down to him ingame.

i've only seen FI RDMs tank Fafnir/Nidhogg. i think it's pretty cool that they can but those wyrms are different than the Grand Wyrms, which i assume is what Mitzki is talking about.

Soloing on RDM (no matter wtf you are soloing) is 10,000 times easier than just simply being in a wyrm fight. Part of being an RDM is that you make up for where everyone else is slipping, curing/hasting/buffing whoever in the alliance is whining for it at the time. BTW refreshing 6 people takes 70% of your time right there, not to mention that it will get roared anyways and you get to refresh 7 people now.

Um, I would say "lock me in a room with Zipacna" any day of the week compared to being in any party situation. You only need to solo something for about 5-6 minutes tops before you know if you're winning or losing, doesn't matter if the fight is going to take 10 minutes or 6 hours.

It's alot easier to focus with only you and the mob in front of you. I'd love to try something like Zip on Siren, however notably absent from his videos are the MPK trains from gilsellers. Bugboy is really tempting... I don't have AF2 hat, but I think I might be able to pull that one off without it.

wellz for the RDM soloing.... i would say go try it lol... it's not that easy after all invloing kiting and sutff >.> u can sure poison2 and bio2 stuff, but regarding the best kiting route so you dont get your ass 1 shotted when u trying to turn around, and gravity/bind sussceful rate, and how the resistance gonna build up to the point u cant land those anymore. It all takes a couple tries for u to reach there :/ not to mention, that aveeista or whatever dude he soloed ENM also, which is time limited, DoT to death is certainly not an option.

Honestly I wouldn't find any satisfaction at all in DoT to death. Even if I soloed Genbu or w/e, it's just a reason for everyone to say "nerf the class", not really anything that impresses me.

Grav builds up a resistance, but I'm pretty certain that Bind does not. His Ungar fights show no resistance to Bind even over 60+ minutes.

But unger is some different thing tho. shouldnt be a problem with any RDM that has decent enfeebling stuff to go against that thing >.> and i kinda fee ice based shit have certain advantage on wyvern too my paralyze kicks in mad whenever i go against bune or unger. But my bind does get resisted more often time after times in the bugboy enm tho

its pretty simple and i did this AFTER i got robbed of equip, i have the most basic rdm equip so i dont think it takes much skill for kiting BUT..
Soloing melee style or tanking is a different story, thats all pure skill XD

Yeah that's why I'm anxious to try Bugboy and others. I have loquacious earring now and that added another little boost to my RDM/NIN-ness that it desperately needed.

Meleeing solo is absolutely skill. So is trying to DoT/kite but ehh...notsomuch
