So I finally got 50 last night on my Warrior, so I went to Bastok to start my AF2 quest. I took the liberty to get a Parasite Skin when I was helping a friend get a coffer key for his Bard a few weeks ago, so all I had to do was kill the NM in Palborough Mines.

I have to admit, I was surprised at how strong the NM was. Without Stoneskin, it hit me for 30-40 damage even with Phalanx, it even managed to critical me for 130 or so. (This is similar to what the elementals at Ouryu hit for.) It took just over five minute to kill because it took so little melee damage. It pissed me off when it used Invincible, so I just nuked the hell out of it at the end; I took it down from about 33% with 3 nukes. All in all an easy mob, just a little tougher than I expected.

So I got my Fighter's Calligae, but it was fairly late so I didn't want to wait around for an hour to get my AF3 quest. I logged out in Bastok to activate it when I log on tonight. Already have all of the coffer keys I need, so I just need to get a little help to get them. I can't wait until I can equip my wonderbra.

The fight with the three Goblins in Behemoth's Dominion, Barada and I duoed it yesterday. Things were going well, until there was an incident with Diaga and an Evil Weapon and things got a little ugly prompting a strategic withdrawal. The second time went very smoothly though.

Actually, I got the rest of my WAR AF yesterday. Tengaar helped me in Eldieme Necropolis to find my gloves. (In the second place I looked.)

I changed job to WAR to go to Crawler's Nest where Slone and Sendoh were killing things already, they found the coffer before I got there because it was near their camp so I lucked out with my Fighter's Cuisses and Tengaar gave me a Warp II.

Later, Enitsu, Barada, and Fryte helped me in Castle Zvahl Bailey- sadly this took a while because a SMN got to the coffer right before I did. (And I sort of forgot the key in my mog safe. *'.') After a Warp II home and a regional teleport back; we set up a search pattern and it popped in the same exact spot it was in earlier.

I changed jobs to RDM/NIN and ran back up to Castle Zvahl Bailey for Dark Spark. I opened the fight with a 1040 Savage Blade (wish it did that sort of damage more often) and beat the living crap out of it. After that fairly effortless win, I ran to Behemoth's Dominion to fight the gobs. Without the distraction of the weapons, the fight was fairly smooth. If they were sleepable, it would be a really easy fight for RDM/BLM. After getting my Fighter's Lornica, I went back to Jeuno to get my Fighter's Mufflers completing the set. All in all it was a pretty pimp night for me. :D

Yeah, it can be a real pain. I've come up with a fairly decent search pattern there, but if it pops north it's never good. (Someone goes up there and gets it after you searched the whole place, so when you get up there you are totally confused as to why the coffer never spawned.) I guess it wouldn't be too bad if you regional outposed to Beaucidine to check.
