    IMO they are hinting at more people being able to fit in an alliance.

    Let's be honest - does anyone kill Vrtra, Tiamat, or Jormungand -without- using more than 18 people? This system has been broken for a long time, and the fact that they are adding mobs like jailer of love and absolute virtue that are even hard to beat with 60+ people only lends more evidence to support the theory that they are planning to increase alliance size.

    So, mark me down for increased alliance size.

    Doubt it, they already have enough UI problems on the Stock PS2. Alliances of 24-30 people would all status bars and zero actual image.

    Asura really isn't as overpowered as people think it is, it's just consistent. I do 1-1.2k damage constantly against EP Sahagins past the Gold Coin door in Sea Grotto, the same mobs I can occasionally do 1.5k+ Rampages on with Warrior EQ not even close to being the absolute best like my Monks. Seriously, un-nerf Monk already! They need to make Asura critical hit or damage with TP instead of accuracy.

    Maybe they will scratch the whole idea of a claim, and make any mob attackable by anyone. Then, they'll do like WoW and make drops / exp only go to the alliance containing the first person to perform an offensive action against it. In other words:

    Claiming would still work as it currently does, with mob name changing color when claimed.
    CFH is removed from game, mobs are in "CFH mode" by default where anyone can attack.
    Drops / title go to the person who holds the claim.

    I know people are going to say "well what about someone powerlevelling you in 5 minutes by letting you kill IT+++ mobs solo and they just damage it." But, I'm not one of the designers so I don't know I just think they'll find a way to allow more people to fight a mob than just 18.

    if they do add those "dynamises" I hope you can do them outside of the other 6. Like.. if you do one of the 6 you can do one of the new ones the next day rather than wait 3 days and then hope they drop more coins :D more coin flow all right!

    I hope the changes to the battle system include

    -we have greatly reduced the amount of attack needed when using a two hand weapon to reach peak damage

    somthing to the tune of +60 attack hidden effect on all two handed weapons. sound overpowered? well even if it was +60 mabye, just mabye there is a slight chance 2 handed weapons can compete with Duel Weild and Martial arts DoT.

    remember when the last update was coming and everyone thought there would be new dynamis and blm would get nerfed and then it didnt happen

    In the last update they didn't show a picture of Dynamis - Valkurm on their homepage.

    I think the most potentially impressive part is this:
    Soon Topics will change to include comments from the developers on upcoming changes
    The ivory-tower attitude the devs always seem to have toward the playerbase has always been one of the most frustrating things about this game. Maybe they'll finally start telling us why they're making changes to the game, and where they want the game to go in the future, instead of just handing down bland press-release style notifications from on high along the lines of "THE STRENGTH OF VARIOUS JOB ABILITIES HAVE BEEN ADJUSTED".

    You mean SquareEnix is gonna balance the melees ?

    Chances are instead of boosting DRK, DRG, THF and balancing melee vs. mage for tp gain, they'll nerf BLM.

    Actually I think the "Ivory Tower" has already crumbled, as they are doing a lot more interviews with players already.

    As a BLM all I can say is this:
    If they do nerf BLM, some serious changes would need to be made to the game, or good luck killing:
    Nidhogg, Aspid, Kirin, JoL...
    Wait, why am I even listing HNMs? Pretty much anything that's very hard to kill needs BLM damage lol.

    nothing NEEDS blm dmg, you just kill shit faster with more blm's.

    Aspid NEEDS blm dmg. There are some mobs that need fuckoff instant damage to be dealt with w/o trouble. Why take an hour to fight something when it can take 15 minutes?

    Vrtra pretty much needs blm damage...for the summons. Turtle KS99 I haven't seen a viable non-blm strat and it's been in the game for like...18 months or more?

    HNMs I agree BLMs are needed to make kills smooth, but exp is a different ball game.

    on a side note I never used to notice how sick Elegy was with slow, when I get to 59+ on War it'll be piss easy to tank lol

    Due to the HNM berserk patch, every big HNM that has been affected by it needs BLM, not to mention gods in sky need BLM.
