There's a real simple solution for that, listen carefully now; DON'T START A CHARACTER ON A FULL SERVER.
Now, if you made a character on a server that got full, there are realm-to-realm transfers for those.
I, for one, have never experienced queues in WoW. Well, except Battleground queues. Damn those.

I dont think anyone playing WoW started this argument. As far as people who still play ffxi and only ffxi, thats great, im glad your all having fun. I have friends that still play ffxi, and i havent closed my account just so i can log on now and again and see what they are up to. I also have friends from ffxi that are playing WoW with me now, i dont know exactly how many times ive said it but MMOs all come down to the people you play with, not the game itself, so chill out and let it go, people have a right to their own opinion.

I've played both and FF graphics hit home a bit better with me.

It's true that Wow graphics are more immersive and lighting is better (I loved walking through the zones the first few times) but the actual models/textures and all the rest don't leave me hooked like FF does.

I do like both games but FF is the one that I came back to.

He clould have chosen a better example. VERY OFTEN wow has login issues, more often then FFXI even. I don't have any SSs of it but it really sucks. And guess what... some of us did not start on full servers. I personally started on day 1 on what would become a medium pop server... we occasionaly have login queues.

Excalibur for a paladin isn't bad, just not amazing, the shield looks better if the rumours are true. But I thought they got Excalibur for a RDM... <insert retarded "but rdm can melee" thread from allakhazam here>

Do you have an upgraded relic weapon? Have you used any of the other upgraded relic weapons first hand? All your info is based on what you've read about other people having them. You don't know any better than us about the other relics. Please STFU until you have an Amanowhatever or Bravura.

His brother has a lv 60 that hes watched in high level instances as well as played..and obviously his accomplishments in FFXI need no explaining, meaning he has seen what both have to offer and has made up his mind.

Whats so amazingly funny is that the vast majority of people saying FFXI endgame is good are the people who have never really experienced it, sans a handful of people that I know to be in actual HNM linkshells.

Was I talking about endgame content? If the first few hours of a game are ridiculously easy and linear, why would I continue playing it? As I stated, WoW is for the ADHD community. Unlike some of you, I'd rather not play a preschool game for 55 levels just to get to something that *may* take strategy. If WoW endgame (which I doubt you've even reached thus far) is so extremely satisfying for you, that's nice, have fun playing with Molly the gorilla and 2 million other 13 year olds downing 4 ritalin a day.

Also SE is not forcing people to play the game. If they don't like the endgame scene, they can quit. I enjoy sky/sea/dynamis/limbus/KS/ENM/ect... and am in no way close to maxing out my character. Also SE updates perfectly around my lifes schedule. I don't have time to play hours each day or worry about some silly monster in dragon's aery, I have much more important things to work on in real life. By the time I get done with one thing in FFXI, there's always something else to do. Did you ever think that maybe SE is catering to people like me rather then people like you who finish off any new quest/mission/ect... the moment the game comes back online? You just have to realize that there is no way to make a game non-repetitive for people who play way too fucking much, the same will happen with WoW. Now call me a noob for not having 15 ridills and continue on your way to being teh uber WoW player. Good luck!

Bookmark this thread and when Blizzard no longer cares about you come here and cry. Blizzard is a company, they don't care about you at all, just mommies checkbook. When the money stops flowing so does the support. The money will stop flowing when newer games are released and the (already aged) technology is not so cutting edge.
