thats pretty lame if you think a person getting a free taste of a game deserves as high of a priority as someone paying for it already.

It's not so much 'deserves' as much as "Hey look, I got the trial version of this game and it sucked because I could barely get online to play it. I don't think I'll buy the full version."

I wouldn't be surprised if the queues have turned off more than a handful of people. I'd *rather* have emergency outages every so often and the rest of the time be able to play on demand.

Not that WoW doesn't have outages. Isn't there like a 4 page thread in the WoW forum from when Ashzara went down?

If I was offering someone a trial account, I was trying to win them over, the last thing i'd be doing was sticking them at the end of the line constantly so you can't play the game. Like I said before, eventually I got into the game, but it was on a server that none of my friends are on, and playing a MMO with no friends is like playing mario party solo, very boring and pointless.

All conjecture. We only have a small idea of what the new expansion will bring to the table. New jobs, new areas, new monsters, sounds pretty good to me so far. Sounds like what the player base wanted... I for one can't wait to see the other jobs they will introduce.

Of course it's conjecture, but it's not baseless. BG has talked to people from SE. SE has said in an interview that the next expansion was going to be more solo based. It seems that the majority of BG found the endgame content introduced to be lacking.

New jobs, areas, and monsters are nice and all, but obviously that's not what the people who are playing WoW right now are looking for from FFXI.

Those mobs are fun occasionally, but the game is about fun, not standing around for 3 hours. Go on an ADVENTURE in this ADVENTURE game, not that you guys would know how that goes

Im not surprised they all quit. I would too If the only thing I did in FFXI was camp HNM That got boring and I quit camping HNM for a few months and got many many many other things completed and made it all fun to me. I had done alot of non HNM things, and now I spend alot of time doing nothing but /stare @ moogle. I took my break off HNM and am gonna start coming back to it, but if it gets boring again, no way in hell am I gonna pay 15/monthly to stare at darters.

Especially when Faf/Behe/Ada all had seperate windows right after eachother,, it became complete bullshit when you login for 9hours , do nothing but /stare darters, /stare elementals, /stare manticores (or /stare wireframes for you people who <3 cheating), and accomplished nothing for the day.

I know people laugh at square-enix when they tell us to go do Garrisons and EF quests rather than getting a new HNM to kill, but have any of you guys done them recently? They's actually one of the funnest things to do when level capped, or go to Terrigan and it's uncapped. True they dont drop abjurations, but at least it's a little bit of fun now and then, cant really complain that the game has nothing to do when you refuse to do it.

i get my non endgame kicks from single player games, aim, and msn, endgame is just what i prefer to aspire for/enjoy in mmos. ffxi's endgame is broken, like you've stated, so don't you think people who are interested in endgame would dislike it, and empathetically agree with their point of view? i dont see how you telling us liking endgame is wrong is valid in the least.

For those that do play WoW - watch it anyway. Its an amazingly well edited movie that shows a guilds adventures through BWL. If you BG guys are hoping to release some WoW videos in the future - you have some serious competition. ;o
