I dunno, I fail to see what the complaint is, people wanted end game content, SE gave you this, so go farm pop items and kill stuff.

Dont like it? dont do it and dont complain, move on to something else or a diffrent game, and dont compalin. Problem solved.


Also.. these things are new.. maybe if you complain to SE, they might change it, or once the secret is discovered it will be easier.. atleast wait a few months for things to happen.

Wow.....this is just beyond screwed up. This is ludacrous how the devs designed end game in Sea. I don't know what they were thinking but this is just horrid. My god, they don't even seem to care that it takes months to farm the pop items to fight Jailer of Love....

I'm disgusted with the dev team right now.

This makes me half tempted of cancelling my FF account, and I don't even have Sea access.

This is stupid, it's like saying you went through 4 years of college, held (for example purposes) a 90 avg. the entire 4 years, then when it comes time to graduate and they get to you, they say "Nope, we're out of diplomas, you wasted 4 years of your life, and we're not giving you one."

The analogy is meant to be utterly ridiculous for those who can't figure that out.

You know what? I am really sick of people who have never been to sea or fought a second tier jailer say that jailers are just a challenge. There is no challenge in having a pop item eaten. Imagine if you traded your seals and instead of Kirin popping, a giant middle finger erupted from the floor. Imagine if you gave your Ancient Papyrus to Maat, he told you that it was torn and you had to get another. Imagine if there was a 50% chance of getting a rusty subligar out of a coffer instead of AF.

Whatever challenge jailers may be is completely overshadowed by the fact that sea is broken. Sea is an utter failure as an attempt for endgame, if people bothered to spend more time getting there they would find out why.

he's right. sea is a fucking shit hole. SE could fix it easily by giving jailers money drops like sky gods or making the pop items 100%, but they havn't and won't. yes, eventually someone will kill AV and get that new speed belt and then people will be like "sea is worth it!" but if you have never been there, you have no idea how frustrating it is killing aerns in a room with a ??? for 2 hours until randomly you get a message saying a random member of your party can pop it. now if you succeed and the random member isn't afk after 2 hours, then you get to fight some stupid aern and once you kill that (after it reraises a random amount of times) nothing drops and you get to repeat it for 3 more hours. i don't think anyone who has actually been in an active linkshell in sea and fought all of the jailers thinks the way sea is implemented is a good thing.

Remember when we spent a month getting pop items? This involved killing all the NMs several times praying for a drop because SE doesn't know how to make end game content. After thousands of man hours of work we popped an unbeatable mob and lost everything. Now you're probably going to say "It's not unbeatable, someone on another server beat it", But when a mob requires you to have 80 people there just to have a slight chance at beating it, that equals unbeatable. Now, should you manage to recruit every BLM on your server to kill it, its drops that are 100% are total bullshit. After all this, if you manage to beat JoL, AV might pop.

Why don't you stop kissing squares ass and go camp Fafnir.

Amen, thats why so many people go to WoW, no effort needed for that game.

If you have even remotely come close to one of the 3 kings and even stepped foot in Sea that would only slightly justify your comment as having any remote importance in the topic. I highly doubt you've taken the 6 horribly painful months to gather the pop items only to find out the mob was nearly impossible without an absurd team to kill it. Its not good content, its just painful.

I don't even think you have to look outside the realm of FFXI on this, ANYONE who has been to sea will tell you it sucks and is a nightmare. I don't see how anyone can justify it after they've been there once.

On Caitsith, 3 JP linkshells teamed up to kill JoL (with hopes of killing AV). They had more than 90 people there. They killed JoL easily.........


And AV didn't spawn.


They got Novio Earring though (the tradeable thing that gives you it anyways) I wonder how they split that amongst 90+ people.

I thought they almost wiped, it regenned from like 3% to 20% or something but they finally got it and it only dropped torque and halbered.
