It was about harassment, and it was clear he spoke little to no english about 10 seconds into the conversation. If you can't even hire customer service that speaks english, please don't claim your company doesn't deserve an F in customer service.

And to everyone who is making the claims that the people just played too much...the game has been using the same endgame content for nearly 3 years, with extremely minor and insignificant additions overtime. If you are not playing with the intent to reach the end of the game and its content with the expectation to eventually have even more things to do endgame...why are you playing the game? Are you claiming that a chatroom is good enough for you? If so I can recommend some free ones.

Imagine that, foreign customer service and GMs, in a Japanese based game. Who'd a thunk it? It's obvious that most of the GMs are Japanese, and as they have to answer calls in a timely manner (well...somewhat timely) they're forced to match up NA calls with JP GMs, and visa versa.
One's a grammar error, the other is just horrible editing on the websites behalf.

Again Xavier...where did I suggest any of that? I'm sorry if you're pissed off about SE...yes I've delt with the same bullshit on my server, and I know what you've gone through. Siren is probably more JP based and run, then just about anyother server that exists. But really you guys take any opportunity to scream racism and blame an issue on race, just because its the predominant issue. You see JPs and NAs co-existing in the same game, so its easy to assume that any shitty service or presumed bias is because of race.

People don't understand the DRG job. People dont understand WAR/WHM yet IRON has shown everyone just how good it can be. It's not SEs fault that people try and push a job in a direction it was never intended to be. Dragoon is not a hardcore DD, it is a support job, and does what it does well. Obviously noone will accept that, and now SE is forced to make it a halfassed DD adding w/e 2hour they are going to in order to please the ignorant masses. GG.

I'm merely stating that Square has American offices including Japanese offices and *gasp* they should have a customer service program run through them instead of being outsourced to another country with people who don't speak english for their english playerbase, which makes up a large portion of the FFXI userbase. You're trying to say they have no responsiblity to cater to anyone outside of Japan and that its a gift that we're basically even allowed to play the game.

You brought up the game being foreign, I brought up a basic responsiblity of any company that has domestic offices to be able to respond to domestic complaints in their primary language. Its not a radical idea.

Lol, today in wow I got my first "advertisement" for gold. The "gilsellers" literally send you tells saying go to my website we're the cheapest. People swear constantly in general chat and I have heard many GM horror stories already.

SE doesn't consider dragoon to be broken because to them it's not broken. It was overpowered before by an easily exploitable TP gain issue that they let run for a long time, now it is a lesser melee class but still good if people know how to use it. Forget end game, because end game your either a Mage, a Tank or a gimped as hell melee. Dragoon was supposed to be a fun class, with semi decent soloing ability from breath and stuff. I don't think they ever expected it to be a popular class. Even so, DRG is getting an extra so to say that SE doesn't listen or give a shit about NA is bullshit, I'm really tired of this line of complaining. You can cry over it, you can go play another MMO until your completely sick of it and cry over that too or you can just deal with it. FFXI has it's shortcomings sure but so does every other game and fixes will always be sparse and never appease everyone no matter where you go. MMO's will always have downfalls and eventually "lack endgame" because you've already burned through it all and are bored. GM's suck in every game too, they are either too harsh or too lienent there is no balance or middle ground because everyone whines to no end and can never find a middle ground.

People will always hate their game company. People who play a lot of wow for a long time think Blizzard is terrible company, people hate SE, people hate EA, people hate Sony and it's solotion to trying to control gilsellers even though they at least make an attempt.

FFXI's biggest problems aren't Dragoon or their GM's, it's melees lack of usefulness compared to mages. The fact not that there is no end game but the end game populaiton has grown to large to accomodate under the current system. Some things take way too long for little to no reward making it go beyond fun timesink to just plain grueling work that isn't fun. Most of these issues can't just be fixed overnight unfortunatly. Plainly making all melee stronger could effect the balance of the game and make every single battle too easy, changing the pops of all end game NM's to be either more frequent or popped or KS99 is not something that can be done quick also it effects the whole camping aspect and monitoring of deathtimes. Things have to be added that are easier to complete faster but fun enough that people won't get bored of it, like Limbus.

I really think they are trying, just it's not something that can be done fast at all. People just expect it all to be fixed as of tomorrow. I am frustrated with the state of the game as much as the next guy, but I refuse to hate SE. I will probably be taking time off the game because I am not having fun anymore but I think that's all you can do is move on. I will not have high expectations of wow though, because I know it will be more of the same... irght now it just has a newness factor and i'll milk it while I can.

I think it's pretty dumb though to think SE hates NA people, the fatal flaws of the game effect Japanese players too. If you don't think their melees are upset too, their DRG's are pissed or they think there is too many end game your kidding yourself. Their GM calls take longer actually. The problem is that most people can't literally see it and therefore it's out of sight out of mind. No company would blatantly do things to piss off half their customer base and I really think people need to smarten up and stop acting like SE is purposefully out to get you.

Here's a newsflash, all MMORPG's are timesinks and all of them are designed to start off really fun and get you hooked and then cut back on the later stuff because your already hooked and afraid to leave and lose all your invested time. They will occasionally throw you a bone to keep you there but they are always in the business of making money and hooking new people because most people who make it past their first trial month will most likely play for a very long time. Graphics will improve over time but the fundamental idea of the games doesn't really change and that is because it works. I still haven't really noticed anything in WOW that can be truly called unique or groundbreaking. Why it is hailed as this vastly superior game to all it's predecessors I will not understand other than it being the flavour of the month until the next highly anticipated one comes out.

I think people don't understand this, or where their 12.99 a month actually goes. As someone who has owned a server for a game for a long time I feel like I understand it better. Your paying the server costs, the massive bandwidth costs. the cost of upgrading servers and keeping them running, the salaries of the devs for patches, Gm's for the things they do and they do accomplish some things (like banning Rueni), the maintenence staff and much more. I don't think people realize the value they get for $12.99 as none of the above mentioned things are cheap.


So if you wanna play wow then play wow, but playing for 3 weeks, or 3 months evenhardly makes you an expert. Just because you hate SE and FFXI it doesn't mean others are required to and the same goes for those who hate WOW. The debate is pointless, the games are different but at the same time so much the same and it all boils down to personal preference, amount of time you've been playing the game and how much free time your willing to spend. This whole thread was a Satire to this ongoing but very pointless debate. So cut the shit flinging and just play whatever fucking game you want, and have fun... because that's the point of these games... if your not having fun do yourself a favor and quit.
