For the record, the reason why killing mobs with GA has terribly low drop rates is that GA spells only target one monster. So even if you killed 18 mobs with one spell, only 1 of them would drop items unless you specifically interacted with all the other mobs beforehand. This thread makes me want to believe in TH:Uh...carmine dobsonfly? 3-4 helms when killed with aga is not what I would call terribly low.

But I get the feeling SE probably doesn't have a universal system for the way they set up the drop table and the way TH interacts witih it.
On a side note, when a THF in our ls with TH3 got killshot on an om'phuabo, it dropped 2 phuabo organs, and an H.Q. organ, something I've never seen happen before.
I was explained how TH works in the way that...
For Treasure Hunter to work, the monster(s) being fought must be red/claimed to the Thief. So, like in Dynamis, all the mobs that are being fought are red. Which means in Dynamis, one Thief is as good as 64.
One reason "letting the Thief get last hit" could be because if the Thief does get last hit, the mob dies claimed to him/his party. So it kind of works, but as long as mob dies claimed to the party that the Thief is in, Treasure Hunter will work.
