I'm tired of explaining pld/nin but no, there is no TA to hold hate. PLD/NIN holds massive amount of hate w/o any additional help. Cure IV is voke, flash is voke, flash can be cut down to like 25-30 seconds, so I don't really see why people are so perplexed by pld/nin.

Its like nin/war, except it has 2 ways to provoke and easier access to enmity gear and actually cures itself instead of relying on others. Greatly reduces the amount of healers needed in a fight, etc.

Theres no trick to the test, if the add effect gave the hate from the dmg to the pld, Bikkwin would've had more hate.

I also fail to see why people dont understand, that a pld can cure SOMEONE ELSE and get the hate for it. Alot of them learn this after feeling useless in Dynamis-Qufim ;p pld's held hate with no /war SJ, provoke is just another tool, in the many things a PLD can do to gain hate.

Now that I have melee gear I can hold hate on alot of things PLD/NIN just as well as /WAR. I tanked ZM5-ZM12 for a friend as PLD/NIN due to the lack of WHM. The only time I lost hate was on a non resisted MB at the beging of ZM6 and after Archduke's Hate Rest Move. Its all about how skilled a PLD is at thier job.

Tiamat is a completely different fight then Fafnir. Even if TAs ARE used for a PLD/NIN...does not mean it is necessary in order to hold hate as a PLD/NIN, no more so then it would a PLD/WAR or NIN/WAR being TAed. Just helps in the end.

I can't stand when PLD's bring /NIN to shit like limbus when they have exactly one hate tool to tank adds every 45 seconds, but yeah it's cool "because i'm tired of being a meat shield"

type 6 being 80-90% dmg reduction and activating half the time thats a ridiculous 40-45% overall physical dmg reduction down. you could achieve that dual wielding earth staves but then you still wouldnt have the stats of the shield and being able to access shield bash and sword weaponskills...
