Also, 'sea' was added to the auto-translator at roughly the same time Al'Taieu was added to the game.

What a minute, really? People have their own private casinos. Are they going to make a larger, official casino too?

If you could not catch the fish required for the contest, you may want to try working with your linkshell members or other adventurers, or even buy the fish at the auction house. Contest winners will receive a new title and a modest award.

Does fishing skill have anything to do with catching bigger fish or is it just completely random?

Is there anything that a fisher can do to target only the larger fish of a given fish species?

My fishing is only like 27 so I have never gone after any of the big ones but this just seems so pointless if it is just random and doesn't at least involve some fraction of skill.

AS being someone who actually enjoys the fishing system for what it is, I think this will be interesting. Too many people spend their time dicking around and bitching of forums when they could relax and fish, I know it's helped me enjoy the game a little more.
