Ice Threnody is noticeable (like everything else bards do) but +15 enfeebling isn't some dramatic night and day thing.
I switched from Elite+1 to Chapeau when I got it. The difference in para resist and proc rate was very noticeable, and I sold all my magic acc gear.
With some stuff all the Enfeebling + gear in the world isn't going to do jack shit (see sky). I haven't noticed too much of an improvement from having W. Head over Wise Cap.

Ohhh good call though. Sky sucks for RDMs ;_; I was thinking of ground HNM and Wyrms almost entirely. Is there any good way to stick stuff on sky gods? Will enough magic acc stuff do it?

And can someone post a screenshot of Tiamat being paralyzed? I've honestly never seen it.

I mean paralyzing a fire based Tiamat. I've never seen it done.

It's 99.99% impossible. Same with silenceing/paralyzing Jomrungand, Slow/Elegying Ouryu, or using BLM/RDM Sleep on Vrtra. You can land NIN blind on Vrtra though... not really sure why.

You could have the best possible gear combinations in the game and still have trouble landing enfeebles on Gods really. When it comes to landing enfeebles in sky it really is all random. I've had ES Seal Silences resist on Suzaku and then watch a BRD/WHM land silence 2 seconds later on more than a few occasions.

RDM endgame is pretty bad since a lot of stuff just plain doesn't enfeeble or doesn't stick without seal (certain Sea Jailers, Para on Jorm and Tiamat, slow on Ouryu, sleep on Vrtra, Faf, Nid, Sky Gods, etc.). You can't really nuke anything because of the ~C rating in Elemental magic (lower than DRK if you didn't know). Healing is dicey because you're stuck with Cure IV that heals for less and pulls more hate than a WHM's Cure V. It's pretty much stand in one spot and hit your refresh macro 6 times rinse and repeat.

The best part of RDM endgame IMO would be soloing less HNMs like NQ Behemoth, Serket, etc but we all know what SE did to that.

So far, I've been macro swapping at least 3 pieces of gear per spell. e.g. enfeebling torque, AF body, appropriate staff for enfeebles. Elemental torque, AF hat, moldavite earring, appropriate staff for MB. Dark torque and pluto's staff for bio/aspir/drain. And for cure, refresh, etc. I swap in vermy just because I already had it for SMN. The rest of my slots have been static.

Since I don't want to add even more to my inventory space and macros and swap between +INT items and +MND items for every spell, is there a particular stat that seems to be more important for RDM?

I'm Elvaan, and at 71 (no errant until 72), my stats are INT 55+29, MND 72+7, and a MND food (like Mushroom Stew) to even it all out. Though I can't help but wonder if I should be pimping out MND instead.
MND drives our most important debuffs, so I would pimp MND instead. Especially if I was elvaan, i'd have every possible MND item in the game.
So its better to have (total) 65 INT and 120 MND than 95 INT and 95 MND, if those were made up by slots that I didn't have macro/inventory slots to spare for (more) gear swaps? I already have like 5 mannequins and 6 armoires, and filled storage with just about everything that I can afford to leave there. My inventory only has just what I use when I go out. I'm not a big fan of going out with 60/60 in gear. I'm already at 52/60 in on-hand gear for RDM as it is. It's almost as bad as my WAR, only my WAR doesn't need elemental staves. But I do have like 3 pieces of equip for every body slot, and 6 weapons, on WAR, too. lol SMN is the only job I actually have more than 10 slots free when I go out.

If space is that big a concern for you, just stick with things that give both. The best +MND gear is often also the best +INT. Errant legs, rainbow cape, penitent's rope, errant body. The other slots don't give a whole lot of stats anyway, aside from rings. Those +staves and you're like 70% there. Get enfeebling torque and master caster bracelets and you're like 85%. An extra 10% will cost you a dozen inventory slots.

I mean, if you really care about mind then just eat a goblin mushpot.

Yea. Pimp out enf skill, then MND. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about INT.

I find a way to carry about +45 of both, but if I seriously had to choose I would pick +60MND/+10INT over +25 of each in a heartbeat.

Yeah honestly i have to agree... I mean I've probably cast it (out of habit) like 30 times in 20+ tiamat's and it's never landed once. I'll cast it 400 times if I can actually get it to proc, but it just doesn't make sense.

    If you couldn't tell a difference in resist and proc rates of para on Faf/Nid/Vrtra after your got your chapeau, then perhaps yours is broken. ;_;
On Faf/Nid, landing para pretty much stayed the same. I never had much trouble with it before I got the Chapeau and noticed the same rate of landing after. I use Errant body over Warlock's now for Para and see many more "Nidhogg/Fafnir is Paralyzed." than I use to before. One of the benefits of adding +15skill somewhere else and +10MND where you can get it. I could use HQ staves or Mythic+1 + Numinous shield and the rate of landing won't be so noticeable but the extra +MND from wand/shield upped the proc rate it seems. Enfeebling on Sky Gods is indeed fucking random though.

And I want to see proof of Tiamat being paralyzed. I don't believe it. =x

I had Penitent's rope until 70, when I sold it and decided to use my Forest rope from SMN (MP+60 INT+4). I figured as Elvaan, I could afford to lose 5 MND for 60 MP. I also use RSE hands from SMN (MP+55 INT+4). Though I do have 340k CP to blow, if I can buy MC bracelets from windurst when Sandy is first and Windy is second. Though I'm not too fond of equipment relying on conquest status.

I already have enfeebling/elemental/dark torques, and HQ ice, wind, earth staves (and HQ light/dark, but I got that back in my SMN days). Tamas Ring is welded to my finger. That leaves the other open for either MND or INT, and I don't really want to buy both a Snow *and* Aqua ring. I'll have errant's to swap as needed next level.

Hmm.. if SE would just give us more inventory space, I wouldn't be having this problem.

I use Penitents and on converts use a +MP belt. I think the other benefits of penitent's are worth the extra inventory.

You can't get Master Caster Bracelets if Windurst is in 2nd, it's a 1st place only item so you'd need to switch to Windurst. Same with the bronze republic medallion from Bastok. You need to be Bastok to get it as it's only in the list if Bastok is 1st.

You can blow through the rank 10 quests pretty fast and make decent gil doing it if you're 75. You'll lose your outposts though.

If it weren't for that, I'd be rank 10 in every nation by now.

    I even have newbie regions.

Hell if I'm giving that up for something that only works outside of my nation's controlled areas.

Fortunatly, if you're Windurst, that seems to be pretty much everywhere, lol. Most of the new areas are outside of conquest so these items work, Dynamis, Limbus, Sea etc.

Actually, many (maybe all) of the Rare/EX Conquest Point items are only available to buy if you are from that nation. Master Caster Braclets are available when you are second place or higher, but you cannot buy with double CP from another nation in first place. (Believe me, I tried.)

In all reality, I am glad that I switched to Windy to get MC bracelets. It is nice to see a whole new storyline, how that country views the world. As soon as I can buy a Federation Aketon for my Windy mule, I am going to switch to Sandy to get Rank 10 there. (I can't wait to go back home to Bastok...)
