Another RDM question

In all reality, I am glad that I switched to Windy to get MC bracelets. It is nice to see a whole new storyline, how that country views the world. As soon as I can buy a Federation Aketon for my Windy mule, I am going to switch to Sandy to get Rank 10 there. (I can't wait to go back home to Bastok...)

You know, that was pretty much my exact plan. Started Bastok, got Rank 10. Was in Windy just long enough to get Rank 10 and MC Bracelets, then switched to Sandy and got Rank 10. And then transfer back to Bastok to show my loyalty to the old Blue & Crusty.

Except .... I just don't feel like losing my outpost quests (again) by leaving Sandy. Although switching back to Bastok would make the MC Bracelets work a lot higher percentage of the time....

MWM landed slow, paralyze and blind all the time on tiamat without ever getting resisted.

He had ( ) max merits for his rdm and was elvaan so the high mind kinda gave him an edge.

You're also able to land silence but i dunno how long it last. I've seen it stick.

Fought our 16th tiamat last night.

I cast Paralyze probably 70+ times (ended up dying from hate before the end because of this fucking thread) and i have better gear than whoever MWM is. Every single one resisted.

No way. MWM sticks Slow on Ouryu too, and Sleeps Vrtra all the time. I've seen it.

Elite Beret (Enfeebling Skill +4) or Wise Cap (Magic Accuracy +5) for enfeebling?

And, if you have a RDM and BLM and wanted to merit magic skills, would you put more into enfeebling or elemental skill? Which of these merits makes more of an impact for their respective jobs?

I think Wise would slightly edge out Elete Beret because the accuracy is about the same, but you can also use it for dark magic spells like drain and aspir. (But truth be told, I didn't notice any difference in my enfeebles when I used Wise instead of Elete. But I did notice that my shame rating increased because I had a condom cap on.)

I lvled BLM first, so I ended up with +10 ele skill and +2 enfeeb skill.
In retrospect, I'm happy with this. It all depends on your gear for bother jobs though. I'm fortunate enough to have Duelist's Chapeau, so I don't really get hurt by lots of resists for RDM. If I still rolled with Elite+1, it might be a different story.

Buff whichever job you play more, or mix both! Either way, you'll only be increasing your effectiveness.
