THF in my LS went on an axe burn party with 2 of the best equipped WARs in our LS (who, btw, are extremely well equipped). outdamaged both of them, by a pretty good margin. If people would get out of the mindset, Thieves do great damage over time. Fast TP, merited triple attack, and weapon skills on par with a WARs finest make THF a fine damage dealer for melee burns. People just have it engrained in their head that THF does gimpy damage.

Wow level 75 people complainning about not getting parties >.> thats so 50s... Its easy to exp at 74-75 at ANY job, and its eaiser if you have a LS filled with those jobs. And they are more camps at 72-75 being used(not this word) than any other range.

The problem is, for THF to keep up - they *need* that ridill. Without it, their tp gain doesn't add much to overall DoT. I do agree that a very nicely equipped thf that knows to use SATA+WS everytime he has the TP to do so can keep up with decently equipped WARs.

Hell, I've invited an LS thf to merit in KRT with 2 monks before, Titan + KC ftw Sata True-strike does pretty good damage, about 800-1100 or so on skeles.

Thing that bugs me about THF damage is that the THFs have to try >REAL< hard to keep up or outdamage a WAR/MNK/whatever and need really pimp equipment, a WAR or MNK can sit there scratching their balls hitting a couple macros a minute =X

In anycase I really hope they add a higher cap for some things (hello magic combat and misc skills) and make it so you can max 2 catagories in job only/HP or MP/stat

It'd be a wet dream to have like 300 base skill for H2H and 6% natural crit rate =X /sigh we can only dream though

Elegy has adds more Slow-% to a monster than the actual spell slow. If I recall correctly Elegy gives a whopping 20% slow? Might want to test in ballista.

Battlefield 25%, Carnage 50%, Massacre 100% (mobs only)

50%? No shit... Does that make any noticeable difference on a mob's hundred fists or does hundred fists ignore slow (for mobs anyway.)

I call bullshit on the claim that a THF can put out 1800 damage on a Decorative Weapon faster than a WAR/NIN with Maneater/Ridill..

Thief in my ls can pretty much break 1500-2000 as THF/WAR everytime berserk is up on deco's (with a bard of course) with his Persues Harpe.

I won't believe it till I see it. War/Nin and old school RNG/NIN exp pts rip through mobs so quickly that unless you hit for 180-250 a shot or 80-150 a swing, you're just going to get wrecked on the parser.

I don't think I took any screenshots, seeing that the damage he usually does is pretty much normal to me now. Something like 19xx Dancing edge with a 700 dmg impaction from an accidental chain. His dot wasn't as great as a war/nin or mnk/war but what I'm trying to say is that they can do great damage.

My problem is deciding what job to LFG on for merit PTs, if there isn't an LS one going on.

WAR for sky/uleguerand rapage, SMN for KRT/sky rapage, or RDM for refreshing/hasting the people raping stuff anywhere.

I used to have to bust my balls as a thf/nin in deco parties just to be on par with a somewhat merited war who's gear was pretty gimp.
