It makes sense to spend 400mil to have a level 43, 38 MP spell put on an enemy for free at a time that may be inconvenient?

Unless it stacks and every time you hit them they get 50hp/atic poison.

So first hit, 50.
then 100/tic
150/tic

...etc.
