Uhhhhh...that's flawed logic.
If DA procs 10% and you hit 10 times for 100 dmg each, you will average 1 double attack 100 dmg, totalling 1100 dmg.
If you hit 20 times for 50 dmg each, you will get 2 double attacks for 50 dmg, totalling 1100 dmg.
The same analysis holds true for TP gain. Mnks and nins don't benefit from "more swings", mnks benefits having better dmg/delay, and nins (and thfs) benefit from massively exploiting the TP floor. Double Attack merely magnifies these advantages by 10%.
Lol love people who think swinging more somehow gives you a better chance at double attacking. No concept of how %'s work.![]()
IT'S MORE DOUBLE ATTACKS THEREFORE MY DOUBLE ATTACKS ARE MORE THAN YOU RAWROriginally Posted by Lockecole
Perhaps he was trying to say that in a given time interval, the person who swings faster's double attack will have gone off more times, not that the actual proc rate would increase. Yes, i know that's what he said.Originally Posted by Lockecole
lol i love people who have no concept of math
war swings 4 times in a given period of time.
In same given period of time a ninja swings 8 times.
5% of 8 swings = 10% of 4 swings.
If ninja's are swinging more in less time, they have a higher chance of double attacking simply because they can pull off more attacks in a limited period of time. As time goes on, a ninja will swing far more with his katanas than a war will with 288 delay axes and no less Job trait recutions on delay *dual weild"
It's simple, its the very similair to acceleration vs max speed.
Where a ninja accelerates to a certain speed much faster than a war does, but war has potential for a higher top speed.
The quick fix is handing the warrior a ridill.Originally Posted by Cursed
But if a war gets hit with a green shell often then their high top speed is worthless.Originally Posted by Cursed

Exactly!!

What the FUCK are you talking about?Originally Posted by Cursed
10% double attack will increase your normal melee damage over time by 10%, no more no less, whether you use 999 delay or 150 delay. Whether you're weilding a hornet need or a relic dagger, you're still going to hit 11 times where normally you'd have swung 10 times, or a 10% increase.
Sure, a warrior swings less, but his double attacks hit harder, and give him more TP.

The statement you wrote there is false. People stated it was false. If anything, your concept of math is worse than theirs. Regardless, I think everyone understood your intended meaning, but nonetheless you shouldn't go around telling people they have no concept of math when the only person who demonstrated lack of conceptual understanding (depsite how small) was yourself.Originally Posted by Cursed
Its flawed math but the concept itself is right in practice. If you swing faster than another job at the same rate of activation, the job that swings faster will see more double attacks, even though the actual rate of activating hasn't changed.
O and Okan, I meant no disrespect, I was more or less just generalizing how a lot of people feel, not just you.Originally Posted by disvisortheory
your % isn't increasing. what does increase though is # of Double Attacks per hour.
Is it true that the more AGI you have the more DA kicks in? Or is that BS...
