Just a question for those that have the manteel, when exactly do you use it? I have both the Osode and Manteel, and hardly put my manteel to use except to look sexy and show off the abs. I suppose the minus song casting is ok for pulling in merit parties, but I always prefer the higher def (rarely time to cast SS), +3 chr, and slightly more MP off the Osode...

Hrm, I see the manteel being used for getting ballad/minuet etc off in merit parties as fast as possible so you can go pull again. Or like for some random HNM where BRD has to do lots of other stuff too.

I don't have Osode, but i have Errant. Errant i use for, elegy (pulling), requiem, and lullaby (i don't have enough space to fill this in on my macro, but i mostly use it right after elegy, so i'd already have it equipped.). Then manteel for the rest. (threnodies, minuet, ballad, ect.) Manteel + latent ring in sky/sea merit parties, ftw.

merits to put songs up faster, so you can leave faster for the next pull.

and putting songs on people during marathoning, allows me to be lazier which is always a +.

i avoid using it cause i'm Hume M

I've always said if anyone gets me one I'm selling it and buying something that's not almost entirely worthless for a BRD.

The only use is if you are in a pinch for casting songs, which I find meaning putting 10 songs on people in a party, which I've only had to do once, and could still do just fine without a manteel. It's a luxury item, Osode and everything else is still better imo.

BRD JSE Body is the ultimate KRT armor.
I'd take a Manteel over Osode any day while farming merit points in KRT.
+10 VIT for brd is meaningless in KRT as well as the +30 mp.

Perhaps, but the +def does help, I know I tend to get smacked occasionally on pulls

I guess I'll try and use it next time just for kicks, maybe macro it along with the ring for casting ballad/minuets, and keep osode on for pulls. Thanks for the input guys.

Yes Ankiseth, believe me...I would love to sell mine and get other items - but I still consider it to belong to my LS, so I won't do that.

You don't get smacked on pulls if you're smart and using fast cast, the mob will be asleep before it even gets to you.

destroyers are known to be the best h2h in the game so far and dropped from a fairly easy BCNM :/

did this KS30 8 times in hopes of getting the drop for a LS member and didn't drop on any of the 8
