I'll nuke Faf in full ele skill, get full resisted 4 times straight. say "fuck this" and pop on my INT/MAB gear, and land 2 unresisted and 1 partial resist in a row.

I find Demon Helm +1 (20k for synth weee) better than anything in non HNM/tough shit. Other wise, AF2 ftw.

-enmity is worthless in my opinion, I dont have hate issue because I know how to control my hate, or atleast buff myself properly before doing something crazy.

I guess we'll have to disagree, and you'll have to die inside. I guess I don't mind sacrificing 12 dmg per Tier IV spell (I give up 2 int using sapient instead of prism and AF1 instead of demon helm +1) for an extra -6 enmity. Int, to me, is an extremely overrated stat...I laugh when I see someone who paid 4.5 million for a snow ring instead of getting a 3 million Aquilos staff. And that line about controlling your hate is a joke...most blms that have multiple fafnirs know how much damage they can do before getting chomped on...and I've found I can do more with extra -enmity, plain and simple.

Anyways, my fafnir set up is this: elite beret, weskit, sapient cape, penitent rope, AF1 hands, elemental torque, elemental earring, moldy, tamas, diamond ring, AF2 feet and either druid slops or mahatma slops...I've been experimenting with mahatma, and I haven't noticed a drastic decrease in full nukes, so I think I'll stick with it. I wish I had AF2 hat, but that's a pipe dream for now. If I got the elemental cape, I would probably switch out my sapient for it, and switch out elite beret for AF1 hat...1 more elemental skill, 2 more -enmity and +4 int (and +25 mp, but I never have mp problems at faffy...<3 taru manapool) from AF1.

You see alot of BLM wearing zenith mitts and on Fafnir. 50 less hp can hurt. I see your point about AF1, but I kinda like how the Genie Manillas have a combination of magic atk and elemental skill without the hp loss. Again, Ive only played my friends BLM a few times and he doesnt have Genie manillas, but I almost always find myself using AF1 over Zenith Mitts (on taru).

Nuking fafnir in full ele gear usually gets me some resists (and I have all the ele gear minus merc cape), but theres this little known fact that if you have bards, they can play thunder therenody. And what this magical, secret song does is allow you to nuke in other, non-elementalskill-out-the-ass gear to do more damage! Gee-wizz, what a wonderful spell! I always nuke in full elemental gear until therenody lands (and go back when it wears off) or if e-seal is up i'll switch out of elemental gear into full damage gear.

As for enmity, I steal hate sometimes, so what? But I'm not a noob and I always have stoneskin (blink sometimes, but wing is gay) up so if it starts beating my ass one of our pld can just do (insert one of the billion things pld do to get hate) and it's off me.

Thieves using Evasion+ Gear in Experience Parties
Thieves using only DEX+ and AGI+ gear, with no Attack+ or Accuracy+ gear, and they don't even macro in equips if they really wanted to use DEX or AGI gear for the one time a minute they use SA or TA
Thieves using AF1 Dagger, Caveley's Dagger, or Lust Dagger (like levels 45-60 or so) instead of Bone Knife +1's
Thieves using Triple Dagger, or offhanding Hornetneedle for almost 30 levels
Thieves using the Ex Bastokan Back equip that gives 2 DEX when they could be using Amemet Mantle or Amemet Mantle+1
Did I mention Thieves using Evasion+ gear in Experience parties? I have seen some Thieves in experience parties using Crow gear.... which sort of makes them worthless for SATA then =/

Ninjas using Evasion+ gear, with no Enmity+ gear at all (Couldn't they macro in Enmity+ for Provoke or something? ; ; ) I guess if it is a good Ninja tank, then they would be fine with Evasion gear instead, but Good NIN are rare ; ;

When Parties on Thief at level 60+ still want me to do Initial SATA


Wouldn't Hospitalier Earring be a good choice for PLD in experience parties? PLD could even macro it in cure curing if they wanted
