and id pay 6m MAX for alky not 45m...now its not worth it at this price..add another 5m and have an osode lol

if it's in fact this low, wouldn't Shura Togi outperform Osode for Asurian? I'm completely guessing, just more or less wondering if anyone has found this to be true, but with that low of a mod, one would think it would react more like regular mele hits.

would outperform osode if you dont have enough accuarcy..but if you can land all 8 hits i think id go for osode since its vit/str based..
i dont own an osode this is just based on known facts

I didn't actually read much of this e-peen gayness beyond the first page but I'll just tell you what the best MNK setup I've seen is. As a matter of reference, I have 126 merits points that 90% of which have been aquired via KRT MNK PTs and I've parsed them all. I've probably exped (and parsed) most every Bahamut NA monk worth noting. I finished meriting a couple months ago so Idk about any of you noobs who just jumped on the bandwagon recently... sorry.

Anyway, best setup I've seen is the one Ondori and Luye use. Full haste/acc/att for Melee (Togi/byakko's/Fumas/peacock/blackbelt) then STR gear for WS (Osode/etc). Sadly, I don't think either of these ppl have thier setups complete. No Shura haidate/kabuto for WS. I can't say I've ever actually seen a "complete" MNK on bahamut (using that school of thought). But regardless, those 2 top anyone else I've seen so far.

Soooo I was in a KRT Party last night with 2 humes. One was wearing a Togi and had a black belt. I think he had triumph earrings too (i don't have those) and was eating sushi just like me. I have a lot of sushi leftover so I just decided to try to finish it off. We were all using Destroyers.

Anyways I outdamaged both of them by quite a bit. I was consistantly doing 1100-1200+ Asuran. The only thing I think that really would have made me outdamage them is either the Osode or being galka. I mean the guy had a black belt! I don't know what to make of it. It musta been the osode. At the end of the night I had done about 40% of the damage while the next highest monk had done about 31%. We had gotten about 30k experience.

It's nice, and it's better. But as far as single items go, you're better off with a Brown Belt and Faith Torque or Brown Belt and Brutal Earring than you are with a Black Belt and PCC or Black Belt and Triumph. It's kind of an overrated item...coming from someone who has one.

Brutal Earring is better than Triumph

You didn't read my post well. If you had to pick one between a Faith Torque, Brutal Earring, or Black Belt, the Black Belt would be the last you pick, because it's not that much better than a Brown Belt, compared to how much better those other two items are over their common replacements.

The BB is seen as the pinnacle of MNK equipment, and as far as it's the defining endgame MNK item, that's true. As far as it actually being the best item ("This MNK is gr8 OMG he even has a black belt he's teh uber!") - no it's not.

Also Black Belt is the best thing a MNK can wear on the waist, getting Faith Torque and Brutal Earring doesn't affect you getting BB.

The point is the difference between a Brown Belt and a Black Belt is not NEARLY as much as the difference between a Triumph Earring and a Brutal Earring. You take a MNK that has a Black Belt and a Triumph and one that has a Brown Belt and a Brutal Earring, the second one will always outparse the first one, all other things being equal.

All I'm saying is the Black Belt is kinda overrated as far as being the OMG BEST piece for a MNK.
