the magic atk bonus is around 6 or 7 from what I rested out.

nether blast did a constant 508 dmg for my LS smn, on any mob (TWW up to DC hpmded). one thing to note: sometimes did 558 dmg on darksday...elemental dmg perhaps ?

Same here, first tried it on bees in Meadows, then on Ul'hpemdes and Ul'aerns. 500ish each time (forget the exact number).

Someone go Nether Blast a wyrm. If it still does 500 damage every time, and even during flight, it might not be so gay afterall.

Nether Blast is also listed as a "Ranged" attack. Perhaps, and this is just a maybe, that it is effected by the ranged attack update (aka RNG nerf). Having Diablos right on top of the mob would be like a RNG being right up on the mob....low DMG.

Maybe try moving Diablos to the "Sweet Spot" and using the BP and see if the DMG goes up.

Also, being Ranged, even if it does around 600, that is still good for kited mobs like KB and Kirin. It was always a pain in the arse to run around and time your BP so Kirin and your avatar cross paths as the BP goes off. Now we can just hit them fro range.

Also, if the DMG is acceptable...Tiamat fights will be quicker.

Its magical damage and will probably be resisted by 50% on a CoP wyrm.

With all that said short of that 250 damage BPs in the air would turn Tiamat into a 25min fight...

it did 400-500ish on bahamut, but not sure on his resist rates. I know that he took only half dmg from bliz spells consistently which seemed to be his weakness...

Then Diabolos might just be something handy for SMNs to use on HNMs and wyrms. I'm starting to like Nether Blast a little more, now that I realize it does 500 on *anything*.

We tryed it with WAR NIN BLM SMN SMN SMN
Darkness sc MB AF Dimond Dustx3 blizaga3 we got it down to 5% and it killed us all ;3

Question is how much HP does it have total? My Shiva did 1.5k MB
So im thinking 8-10k tops?

Going to try tomorrow, and a dark i know swears he can take 5k dmg off with 2hr(etc) kraken .. while i chainspell stun

So if anyone knows how much hp let me know! dont wanna 2hr to late or early ;3

it parsed to a lil over 9K HP give or take a few hundred

I beat it the night it was out PT setup was BLM X4, RDM X1, WHM X1. Blms just did highest spells, rdm chainspell nuke, and whm benediciton, went down in a thunder 4 and blizzard 4 from me so a lil over a min or 2.

Chainspell Stun is not effective as you might think. Stun is Dark Magic and Diabolos, unlike Fenrir is purely Dark Magic based. Fenrir is dark-related, but he's not pure dark elemental, whereas Diabolos is.

During an entire chainspell stun sequence, two RDM's I know of both got resisted about 40-50% of the time.

Dark Knight with Kraken Club and Souleater is pure pwnage however. In 15-20 seconds, our DRK was able to deal 4300 damage to Diabolos.

Diabolos max HP is approximately 7500 according to parser.

After trying different setups, we succeeded with WAR WAR RNG DRK WHM SMN. The Summoner provided buffs, the White Mage provided Benediction after Astral Flow, and I (the RNG) used Kraken to build TP and did Slug, Barrage, Slug, Eagle Eye, Slug. I could've used an Icarus Wing as well but didn't have the opportunity. He died in literally 45 seconds.

Stun is thunder magic, only based on Dark magic skill.

With Crimson Gauntlets, Wise Braconi, Chasuble (sp?), Jupiter's Staff, and Rairin Obi (went on Thunder's day), only the last stun right before he died was resisted from me.. 8)

First time I beat it, NIN RDM BLM BRD WHM MNK.. tried it 5 times before I just chainspell + stun at 40% and let the BLM finish it off in like 20 seconds.. second time was BLM BLM RDM RDM PLD SMN and took it to 70% before chainspell + stun.
