You can't summon in any area that has god NMs or hNMs it seems, can't summon NPC in dragon's aery for example, same as some areas in sky, ru'aun gardens there's genbu, byakko, etc, and shrine where kirin is, but you can summon in ve'lugannon, which fits that logic.
Yeah i really wish i could bring my npc in sea =\
Newtown works well, aoes are a bit of a pain from bugbears especially, and i recommend you turn the mob so it faces away from the front side of a bugbear, because it will get countered and get hurt a lot otherwise.

One thing about the quest that allows you to teleport with ahriman tears, or before that with snow lilys, or the ENM guy, is that they will not transport you if you got a key item for the other ENM by trading a sylvan stone, unless you give that key item up.

And if you get lucky, your region will control it next and you will be able to get cheap Coral Fungus and the very rare Movalpolos water.

Level your NPC @ Newtown Movalpolos!!, it's always empty and you can farm a sylvan stone if you need it. Just take the ENM shortcut (gamble with goblin, win, pay 2k for shortcut but never do the ENM, then you get unlimited rides for 2k each :D ).
I ignore Newton Movalpolis because a Moblin is about as hard as a regular mob 5 to 8 levels higher than it. (Fighting an Easy Prey Moblin is like fighting an Even Match Processionaire.) I don't think Moblins have bomb toss, but they do have frontal fire, blind, and paralyze, along with AoE damage and stun from Fry Pan. Bugbears hit like freight trains, have an AoE weaponskill, and counterstance. Also, the camp near the mine shaft has an elemental spawn.

Newton Movalpolis just sucks. I would love to get Movalpolis Water, but there is a fairly good reason both of those zones are almost always empty.

A friend and I have been trying to level in Ifrit's Caldron off of the Nightmare Bats, Bombs, and Dodomeki's. I can honestly say I will never go to Ifrit's again. The bats aren't bad but with just me (smn) and a thief, however, the stun possibilities aren't very good and the Dragon's Blood just isn't dropping enough. We're going to try an group of 6 split into two parties on Kuftal Tunnel Tigers and Cockatrice (should be pretty entertaining to see reactions). Aside from Davoi and Temple of Ugg, I don't really know where else we can go. The Temple was nice because you could just desynth robes for linen cloth and the lanterns for...whatever it is they desynth into.

I suppose maybe Den of Rancor might be a decent idea. hmm.

You can just whack the bomb once, so your NPC gets a hit in, then disengage and run back and let carby pop the bomb, right? Or does your NPC have to be engaged at the time of death?

Yet you can summon your NPC in Valley of Sorrows and Behemoth's Dominion, right?

Someone posted this in the fellowship bible on Allakazham. (Seriously, the best thread on that board.) Can anyone translate the part for 105 calls?

Just curious if that is the single quest from this update that no one can unlock.

What does realtionship cap mean? Is that the level at which you can't progress your NPC until you have completed that particular quest or does the relationship level tie to your NPC's actual level?

Well this is what 七つの緻密だ ?トリックを translates to according to babelfish

七つの緻密だ ?トリックを ="Seven it is fine? Trick"
no idea what exactly that means, but anyways it talks about 7 maybe saying that if pattern of weapon and armor going from 6 to 7 actually happened, then you can expect maybe to have a weapon and headgear 8 too. But anybody who actually knows japanese maybe can corret this more.

Think of your bond as your level, and the relationship cap as level cap. You have to do Genkai to get to the next level cap, just as you have to do Past Reflections, Blighted Gloom, etc to get to the next relationship cap. (Not to be confused with the NPC Genkai quests which are different.)

I've called my NPC out since the quest was introduced, I have a lot more than 110 calls (150 to 200 calls would not be a crazy number), but because of relationship caps, I only have credit for 90-95 of them.

Things that improve your NPC Fellow's bond: can call your NPC and fight at least one thing, visit the Rendezvous Point once a day (doesn't count after that), and giving him/her a new weapon once per upgrade level (doesn't count after that).

Things that harm your NPC Fellow's bond: dropping your Signal Pearl.

Things that might improve your NPC Fellow's bond: eating the food he/she gives you in the Mixed Signals quest while fighting with him/her, doing Promyvion quest.

I got my NPC to have scorp harness and femina subligar and rdm hat with a friend, but he forgot to lock in scorpion harness and we kept xping in beastmen area, and his npcs sc.harness changed into a Justaucorps, which is about the ugliest body piece ever so i wanted to warn ppl about that.
Also anybody knows if you can backtrack just 1 item by xping in some other country or if that makes you start from the beginning on the beastmen track?
On a similar note, I had coral mittens which look pretty awesome, like red metallic and scaly, and then kept xping without locking those in (I now have the option to lock in 3 pieces), and it changed to the level 8 mitts or carbuncle's mitts, also just about the ugliest hand piece ever

65 i believe? they are getting strong too. I just saw my friends do a 500 guillotine on a DC mob, while in the tank mode. So that was in between it spamming cure IV on itself constantly lol

NPC fellows get some kind of absurd atk/acc bonus on mobs because they can hit shit that I never could at those levels, with pretty crappy gear on.

I'm starting to think that the gear that the NPC wears has little or no impact on what it can do. Obviously, the weapon matters, not sure about other gear.

i'm sure somewhere in the patch notes it says the gear is purely cosmetic.

Yes, body armor and head piece are supposed to be cosmetic. The weapon is just supposed to determine what set of WS's your NPC uses. Dmg is not effected beyond the fact that in general a polearm hits for more dmg than a dagger, etc.

So far I have done Lv 2 Weapon and Lv 1 Head Gear. and chatted with Nanako and she mentioned about the empty. few days later when I talked to her she doesnt mention about the empty anymore. I wonder if I lost the chance or its just open.

Either way my main question is Can a Lv 72 Whm solo through Prov. Holla / Dem / Mea? by himself?
Or I actually have to find a PT, and go to each floor and check the ???
    (or just check 1 ???)
Wait a sec.... my Lv is capped, so my Lv isnt an issue.

Come to think of it.. Can a Lv 72 Whm + Attacker NPC able to Solo?
so Far Nanako is lv 35 and at West Desert with Spiders. I really am worried about later lvls if I can handle it....or need to lvl a new Main job..

It's open. It's just like a quest. Talk to the NPC, it's open until complete. Once complete wait until next conquest tally then talk to NPC again to open it again.

I just run up and touch the ???. You can do that as a level 1.
