I am unhappy with the new system. I wish it would be reverted back to normal.
I think the MPK fix should be tweaked a bit, but is otherwise fine.
I like the fix. BST should learn to deal with it and adapt.
I don't care either way.
SE ruined BST's method of EXP gaining so I am going to quit FFXI. Goodbye.
I was tired of all those BST running around freely solo-ing their EXP anyway. Good job SE!

RNG was NERFED.
BST was KILLED.
Difference is that RNG can still function and can still put out high damaging numbers (My friend does 1600 Barrage in D. Weapons. ... I'd like to see any BST do 1600 ANYTHING in a d. weapons.)
BST... So we get rewarded a little extra because we play solo and can collect seals and fight NMs that would normally require a higher level party or a 75 to solo... We do it while EXP'ing on the normal mobs. Yay... I'll say the same shit everyone told me about other equipment.. "If you want it, go fucking level that job.".. You want the seals? Level BST.
Why am I killing myself again?
Voted 2. Finally you did something about MPK, but fix it so it doesnt screw over BSTs, so we can actually appreciate it.
Anyone wanna go camp Amemet!? ^_^

Mobs should just walk back to their pop area in a non-aggro state instead of warping (unless it's a BLM type mob maybe). De/Re-pop makes very little sense.
On top of that, MPK is a player to player issue. This "fix" is really babying the community excessively.
Beastmasters are now on par with Dragoons.
They needed some company.
Square enix is a business, obviously they're looking for the most cost-effective way to deal with this.
If they leave the old system in, they need GM's to call to keep fixing MPK issues because of the gilsellers.
With the new system, mobs depop therefore nobody needs to call a GM and the gilsellers can steal in peace.
Oops too bad bombs still explode outside party members near serket.
I've had the same, Literally had a bst come up after our party when we were there first and said leave; because he wanted to exp there. We didnt leave so he brought us robber crabs to help us chain fasterOriginally Posted by Not Kuno

Boo hoo cry me a river.
When i was lvling bst i helped people with links and shit more than i could count, but never met a party with any respect for me even after id saved their ass. I was actually mpked by parties id saved from links before. (mpked by purposely claiming my reserve pet as my old pet died, when i say reserve im talking about a pet id started the battle with and switched out, it wasnt at 100% so they werent going to get xp for killing)
lol, i used to do the same, and charm something that's chasing them, but now im just gonna /follow whatever's killing them, and just stand there doing nothing :D Oooooooooops depop!Originally Posted by Siatdiat
You'd be amazed how many people will see a half-dead beetle in garlaige and think "oh grab that, it's half-dead, easy xp" without ever realizing that you need it, or that they won't get xp. Some people are assholes, granted, but most people that do that are just dumbasses.Originally Posted by Siatdiat
Be nice if they fixed the MPK of idiots stealing kings when it goes yellow and kills your allience. Surely thats the easiest fix ever to do.......
I think the mobs should go back to their original spot after aggroing or zoning like they do in WoW

I love how so many complained about MPK not being fixed.. SE does something about it and those same people start bitching about BST. Sure BST isn't the same but surely there are camps where you can get a pet and exp mob close together. I know of a few endgame ones (sky and ifrit's cauldron I can think of several). And now BSTs should be allowed to camp where an exp party would if it provides good pets and exp mobs.. first come first serve. BSTs and others will need to adapt.. not JUST BSTs. BSTs are there first you can gtfo and find another camp![]()
I'm a little tired of people saying how WoW is so good at this, because it's really only a diffrence in graphics. yes you can see the mob walk back to his home instead of him depoping, but you cannot touch the mob at all until it gets back into it's normal pathing routene.Originally Posted by Thaesus
