We would be taking 6x smn (if we even bother with this zone, waiting to see how "worthy" dynamis-tav is). Is he more resistant than Angra Mainyu? Everyone told us that angra mainyu would be the end of our LS but we killed him fine.

We only did Qufim twice. The first time, we couldn't find the SJ ??? for 50 minutes. We killed the Kraken and wiped on the Rocs on the way to the bats. Then we found SJs and died really fast to the boss.

Our second time, we killed suttung (which we only tried once) with no problem. What is the problem you're having with him? We even got snoll aggro while fighting him and only lost a few people before it went down.

and that amount of coins is why alot of upgraders are dissapointed (unless you only SS's items). Also the amount of AF2... the only good thing is farming acessories I guess.

Grats guys, I got screwed out of Valor Hands -1 in Buburimu. They dropped in the last 2 minutes and I had the winning lot of 171. Some people still dead from a huge train of birds. The Valor Hands +1 are way better than Koneig Hands and I think I would be the first person with them on my server. Cleared Buburimu and we are going for Valkrum next week, no clue if we are gonna go back to Northlands or make a run Qufin.

As for the drops in these zones I think everyone is in agreement they blow horribly.

We got nothing from Qufim last night but some coins. No Af2, no accessories and we had 2 hours in there not just 1. Either there's something we're missing and there's more time to get or SE needs to get a clue.

theres not much there. a dark elemental, some snolls and a golem "boss", name started with an S, around 8 letters if you wanna check dats.

Suttung is a Golem.
Scolopendra is the Kraken NM, which you didn't mention.
Stringes my group never ran into, though its most likely in the SE corner or the path to jeuno as my group never went that way.

killing Sclopendra cuts down on his regen, but does not completely remove it.

Killing elementals, from my personal observation, removes the NM's resistance to that spell. My group killed the water and ice elemtnals, and those spells seemed to go unresisted to Anateus. Unfortunately, his magic shield was still up, which I believe is tied to Suttung's life force.



Gonna try this all out next saturday :D

Anateus still has regen even if you kill the Kraken. it's just nerfed.


I allready posted that killing the elementals removes its stregnth to that elemental. Its like it has all resistance+100 with the elementals up, but killing say water, gives him all resistance except water+100. My DLS engaged it on a trial run without killing Suttung, but we killed the ice and water ele's. Those spells went unresisted (80-90 dmg every time), HOWEVER they were still constraied by his magic def bonus: Suttung.


Suttung is Anataeus's Magic Def Bonus, his phalanx, his magic shield, his shell....mages know what I'm talking about. Do you filter shit in dynamis ?? I'm a BLM, I've nuked Suttung, he's got FUCKED UP MAGIC DEFENCE:
Nynja uses Elemental Seal.
Nynja starts casting Thundaga3 on the Suttung.
The Suttung takes 130 points of damage.

guess what : Machina wouldnt have come close to touching this area without the shit I posted in this thread. They had no fucking clue that Suttung has any correlation to Antaeus's Magic Def Bonus. Ungreatful bitches will always and forever be ungreatful bitches.

We've gone 3 times to Dynamis-Qufim, killed mass amounts of mobs and gotten 0 AF2, 0 AF-1 and 0 accessories. We end up getting about 1/4-1/8 the number of coins we would on a normal dynamis run. Flaming pile of poo. Good job SE. Good bloody job.
