Dynamis Qufim NM Antaeus continued discussion

Dynamis-Tavnazia better be Ejaculating AF/AF-1/Items, to compensate the lackluster drop rate in the 3 zones.

killing Sclopendra cuts down on his regen, but does not completely remove it.

Killing elementals, from my personal observation, removes the NM's resistance to that spell. My group killed the water and ice elemtnals, and those spells seemed to go unresisted to Anateus. Unfortunately, his magic shield was still up, which I believe is tied to Suttung's life force.

Anateus still has regen even if you kill the Kraken. it's just nerfed.


I allready posted that killing the elementals removes its stregnth to that elemental. Its like it has all resistance+100 with the elementals up, but killing say water, gives him all resistance except water+100. My DLS engaged it on a trial run without killing Suttung, but we killed the ice and water ele's. Those spells went unresisted (80-90 dmg every time), HOWEVER they were still constraied by his magic def bonus: Suttung.


Suttung is Anataeus's Magic Def Bonus, his phalanx, his magic shield, his shell....mages know what I'm talking about. Do you filter shit in dynamis ?? I'm a BLM, I've nuked Suttung, he's got FUCKED UP MAGIC DEFENCE:
Nynja uses Elemental Seal.
Nynja starts casting Thundaga3 on the Suttung.
The Suttung takes 130 points of damage.

lol i love haters yes its possible if your able to move around the big open areas without aggro. And if you can kill the stuff fast enough in each tunnel you just have to run back the key for this whole zone imo is the puller. If your puller can pull safetly and not link half the zone you can move efficiently through it. But yes we have done this I was their for every run we have done on Dynamis Qufim. Got him to like 40 sumtin percent our second to last run.

Why are you bring this up again? It's entirely possible to kill the 3 NMs. Why kill the 3 NMs if one of them doesn't do anything though?

We had 20 minutes for the final NM. We didn't sac pull anything but the gobs at the final NM. We camped at the pulls. We used 10 minutes to get TP, rest, etc. We didn't rush anything. We engaged with 10 minutes left and killed it in...4 minutes?

General strat:

kill bats around water, find ???
go to kraken NM, kill quads, kill kraken and water ele
go north past tower kill snolls and ice ele
go to behe dominion kill rocs, snolls, gobs, golem, and earth ele
go back to tower-ish

pull gigas (don't link the gobs... )
spread out, bring wings and opo necklace for tp. dark SC w/ blizzard/blizzaga own him in the face.
We beat him in about 4 min.

notes:
roc can be slept by rdm easily, apparently
have mages stay way the hell back from the golem, his aoe sucks
don't let bombs explode
don't cast thunder on the boss, it lands for absolutely horrible dmg
have everybody bring reraise items

For nonbelievers, ill post SS when we finish in 50 min.

how much HP does the golem have? He's the only thing that's gonna be a roadblock in my dynamis ;( unless of course we have SMN bp him to death.

Just wanted to say good job and nice work (in midst of flame wars) to many in this thread for figuring out a lot of this zone. We won pretty well tonight, save a few angsty BLMs pulling hate and eating some rocks. I'm still trying to piece all capes/belts together.. Mtour is missing a few; (we got cleric's belt tonight in Qufim farming nightmare diremites, which they only have in Valk) Confirmed SMN cape is valk/qufim though. '.'
