I should join a gil seller LS, they seem more organised the the NA LSs of Fenrir. Although even the gil sellers are behind on this server. Took them a while to get sky compared to other servers.

This pretty ls? XD
Ive seen them levelling manaburns in Dunes, Kazham and Crawlers recently, they have even more BLMs on the way up the ranks. XD
It's pretty similar payout, sky is much easier to access and organize for gilsellers. Olla, Zip can be killed by 4-5 people and they're probably 2box tri-boxed anyway. It's much more of a hassel to make money off limbus than it is from sky in many ways, for one you have to bazzar the currency instead of just ah everything off sky. Anyway, I'm just saying it's not really worth all that trouble to use limbus as a way to make money, when there are many other things that they could be doing instead.Originally Posted by layoneil

Chinese gilseller = normal term everyone uses. Basis of label is race/nationality. Nothing funnier than racism I guess.
Communist = funny Cold War term for 'enemy' applicable because China is a communist country no matter how much they're selling gil for in America. It's a joke hahaha funny.
Yes they may drive down the price of ancient beastcoins, but they'll now have a cheaper alternative to selling dynamis currency for the gil they need to meet quota. Apollyon is an order of magnitude easier to get through than dynamis, with far less risk. Assume 100 pieces sell on your server for 4 million. A typical, people-die-once-in-a-while bastok run yields about 250-300 coins and it takes about 3 hours to get that much currency. 12 million - hourglass equals 11 million. I estimate gilsellers muster about 30 for dynamis whenever they try to go. 30x3 manhours of work for 11 million in profit.
Apollyon will yield (conservatively speaking for gilseller mistakes) 30-40 ancient beastcoins. even at 200k each (below current cost on Siren) that's 7 million after deducting cosmo-cleanse for everyone, but it only cost you 18x2 manhours of work, at most (although I can't think of a consistent way to stay in apollyon for 2 hours, I like round numbers since it makes calculations quicker). That's quite a bit better return on time/manpower invested, and that's assuming gilsellers undercut the ancient beastcoin market (I have no reason to believe they would).
Gilsellers are a brute, primitive and meanspirited bunch, but they're not stupid about their money making operation.
Oh no the communists are coming. GG china being a communist country with a free market. Oops did I say that out loud?![]()
This is perfectly reminiscent of Lakshmi server also. I can assure you these people aren't RMT, and they hate RMT just as much as you claim you do, even if you might buy gil. Anyway, like someone metioned before this is probably just a Chinese HNMLS, and no not all Chinese are RMT, we have 2 in our linkshell, Leonlin and Dabby who are very devout members and are probably 2 of the more experienced players in the linkshell, with many jobs leveled. The "gilseller group" on our server is a linkshell that was called CamzotzPeckers until multiple NA's spread rumors that they were RMT, at which the GM broke their LS and they were forced to remake a new one, losing many of their members. This ls also had many BLM's who leveled up... I'm willing to wager that they leveled up the same way on your server as they did on ours. About 2 months ago I was running to Aspid, frantic run to claim since everyone had been at Fafnir a few minutes before. At any rate, I passed about 4 blms in a party with a bard and a rdm, I thought it strange to see such low level (30-40), all tarutaru, party manaburning robber crabs, so I began to talk with them. They had no pearls on, and so I assumed they were gilbuyers, but just talking to them you can realize they are just a group wishing to be accepted by everyone else. I asked what they were doing and immediately they stopped and surrounded me, excited at me engaging them in conversation I suppose. The main one, Turbulent began sending me /tell, and even started to do /blush lol. I felt good and bad for them at the same time. Please understand that not everyone who decides to camp NM's for gil isn't a gil seller. Please stop stereotyping seriously, it only makes you look like a megalomaniac, when in reality, you yourself have probably bought gil.Originally Posted by Stanislav
Get a new account. Buy 1M gil a bunch of times from IGE and anywhere else. Talk to gil sellers and try and buy from them, PayPal ftw. Then report them all. Otherwise, quit complaining. Farming shit and buying SH+1 and Flame Rings with it isn't against the game rules.

Did you guys try this after the update? Supposedly they upped the coin drops. My ls did Central floor two and three yesterday and last Friday and got 41 coins on each run. Most of the coins did come from the bosses. Carby and each of his light elementals each dropped 7 and each of the three beastmen bosses also dropped 7, but we were getting 2 coins/elemental, 3/avatar, and 2-3/beastman.Originally Posted by Demetrios
The coin drops still aren't as good as Apollyon, but it's a hell of a lot better than it used to be. The good thing is it's no longer a chore to get peoplet to do Tenemos over Apollyon.

Well.
Not to look a gift horse in the mouth but I feel like I just got kicked in the teeth. Actually more like being reminded of being kicked in the teeth. At least our next run up won't be so spectacularly bad for the LS's coin count. Proto-Ultima fight is fun, but they need to fix Citadel Buster to not be constant spam, thats just annoying.
The behavior of certain notorious monsters in Lumoria has been adjusted.
Guess that this covers Limbus mobs too.
Limbus areas are their own region in search... seperate from Lumoria.Originally Posted by Lui
Gilsellers don't cause inflation in the economy. They aren't introducing new $ into the economy. They are simply farming 24/7 and are another LS competing against you at the $ camps. Nothing more.
The main problem w/ the gilsellers is that they would mercilessly MPK and not play by any of the rules. MPKs have been drastically reduced w/ the most recent patch. This leaves gilsellers as an annoyance in the form of a LS that is 24/7 camping. Essentially no different than some other LS camping against you, just more 'dedicated' (its their job, they don't skip camps).
Gilsellers in sea will let them farm Ancient Beastcoins. This is good $ for them. But to the rest of the player base, all this does is put more Ancient Beastcoins in the economy, which increases the supply for the currently astronomical demand. This hurts nobody. Not to mention its an instance that doesn't effect anyone as far as MPKs and what not. Its the same as if gilsellers did Dynamis (which they tried once on Midgar).
Inflation is caused by SE's game design which pumps more $ into the game daily than is taken out. Nothing more, nothing less. Its that simple. Duping gil would be another factor in the inflation equation obviously if it is indeed occuring.
edit: duping will/is starting to ruin this game. recently a JP on midgar had a /sea com that said they had 3 Herald's Gaiters for sale for 300M a piece. Fishy as NAs kill 95% of all Tiamats for the last however many months. I hope this isn't happening like I think it is...
I have urges to go play PSO now.Originally Posted by nsx

Why the hell would you dupe heralds gaiters for sell? Honestly. Dupe something that sells relatively painlessly and anonymously, like SH or Haub or Verm. You could probably sell 20 of these over the course of a few weeks and nobody would be the wiser, rather than attempt to extract 300m out of someone for an item with obviously dubious origins.
I still don't buy the duping shit. Maybe your JP buddy was into a trade scam... put Herald Gaiters in the trade window, have some error with too much inventory space then put up Mountain Gaiters >.>
Does anyone seriously think duping is a real issue in this game? Maybe my server's just one of the lucky ones.
To anyone who doubts these people are RMT...
There is a huge chinese linkshell on hades.. with real players..
Then there is these guys who who are well known RMT. There used to be another group on hades of 12 RMT who camped Amemet, but when WoW was released they moved there and said this group will take over. They even admit were gil sellers.
Actually I would laugh quite hard to see gil sellers defeat Jailer of Love while everyone on the forum here just sits around bitching how impossible it is and doesn't want to fight it.Originally Posted by nivlakian
I wish gilsellers on Fenrir had Sea so they could get a lot of ancient beastcoins and watch the market fall out. I need 170 coins but I'm sure as hell not paying 250k/each, they should get a lot and lower the price to like 100k >.>
They're rare enough the market will never fall out. Coins are only going to go up as inflation goes up.Originally Posted by Ankiseth
