lol elitist prick comment. Sorry if I think that upgrading a DD melee weapon that is going to marginally better the performance of that job is silly. You don't need that huge epenis item to have fun at the job. I just think it is a waste of gil that is all. Would be better served if I had that gil giving it to some of my lowbie friends who quit for WoW and just now came back to FFXI. I could buy them some equip and help them out with all the shit they lost since they reactivated their accounts. Could upgrade your entire dynamis LS's AF2 probably with that currency. Make a mule for each craft and level them all to 100 and all subs to 60.

So many more useful things than a polearm for epenis. 7 MP a tick takes a huge steaming dump on anything a polearm can do. Wouldn't even bother upgrading that either. I am an elitist for thinking Relic is a waste of gil? I can have fun in this game with shitty gear. The fun in this game is playing the game with your friends. Not some dumbass overpriced epenis item.

I somehow think killing T/VT mobs was not the reason anyone got relic weapons, and one would hope people with Ridills weren't stupid enough to have spent the hours camping them just so they could kill pathetic XP mobs in 30 seconds instead of 31.

Nope just because a WAR/NIN can hold hate and tank with a Ridill and still out DD a DRG on just about every HNM. My LS has had WAR/NIN tank just about everything. That and they do more dmg and hold hate better than a PLD for the most part. DRG can't do that. Nope but DRG can solo some T to VT mobs and take forever doing so. It isn't just exp or HNMs either. DRG is just the last kid picked for the team as far as melee DD goes. If you want to spend your 500 mil on a really nice polearm go ahead it is your gil. Just don't be surprised when you are laughed at.

Soloing should really not be a factor in debates that like because even if DRG solo > WAR solo for healing breath and whatnot, there are a lot of jobs that can solo better than DRG and WAR. In the context of a RMTillion gil relic weapon, you should consider yourself as capable of levelling any job.

i.e. its easier to level RDM to 75, get the appropriate gear, and solo better than your DRG could with the relic spear.

I'd understand if it helped you solo something you couldn't otherwise solo on any job without the relic weapon (e.g. SMN with claustrum and its supposed effect of 8/tick refresh after WSs).

For that matter, the only way I'd ever consider a relic weapon worth it is if it allowed you to do something you could not do without it. Or if it allowed you to support someone in a way that fundamentally changed things.

I don't want a Bravura on my WAR so I can help kill Tiamat 5 min quicker. I might want a Claustrum for my SMN if the WS refresh effect is true, if it allowed me to BP every time the timer was up without ever having to rest longer than the time between BPs. Or for solo, if it allowed me to keep Fenrir out indefintely and BP every so often without running out of MP. And I say solo here, because SMN can solo almost anything without auto-regen or draw-in, as long as there's a little room. Improving a SMN or RDMs soloability would be worth it. Improving a DRGs soloability with a relic weapon = save the money and level a SMN or RDM.

Would be great to see results on the damage and WS dmg on IT monsters and HNMs though. I am curious about all the relic weapons. They all have their uses, but most of them aren't useful in every situation. I am dissapointed in what I have seen thus far. Sorry Flux but that is every job in the game. DRG isn't that much more fun than any other melee DD job imo. Work hard and obtain epenis items is the same for DRG as well. Every job has goals end game, just some are more retarded than others. You can work hard as any job and you can suck and slack off as any job. Just if you suck and slack off people won't respect you thus making it harder for you to do shit endgame. Have fun doing whatever you want. Not doing end game is perfectly satisfying for some people apparently and some DRG only players are lucky enough to get into end game shells too.
