free swift belt > speed belt.

Replace speed belt with whatever high ticket item you want, the point still stands.

edit: and btw, I don't see how you can say an inferior item is "better" and argue at the same time that relic weapons are worth it. People want relics because they are the best weapon of that type bar none, and speed belt for its purpose(maxing haste) is better than swift belt. Swift belt just happens to be more economical.

economical is putting it lightly. I'd much rather farm for codexes with 4 people, then go fight the NMs with 6, and be happy with a swift belt after 2 days of effort than lose my goddamn mind camping Arthro for a month, claiming maybe twice, and not getting so much as a vile elixir for my trouble.

In the end though, Relics are there to keep people who have 'beaten' dynamis interested in dynamis, so the LS can continue going. Who's going to finish a full af2 set before a DRG? nobody. Therefore who is going to be interested in currency before anybody else? DRG. His money, end of story :D

I'm interested in being on you server, because on mine currency is 40-60k per single easily, making the final cost far, far higher than a mere 300m. Try double that. Also, speedbelts used to sell for 40m, I don't know what they're at now. Maybe 80m?

If you object to the speed belt example, just don't take it so literally. Replace it with whatever else you want. The point is an hnmls could pimp out a lot of members with that money instead of one person. Or a person who doesn't do dynamis with an hnmls could pimp themselves out, or pimp their friends out, on multiple jobs.

Of course, and I said this a few pages back. I don't recall passing judgment on people upgrading relic, hell, I'm collecting currency myself. That still doesn't make a relic weapon "worth it." It's simply a goal, and like any goal, it's up to the person setting it to decide whether they want to go through with it or not.

Every relic has the hidden: "occationally breaks dmg limit" and does up to 3x normal dmg. This weapon has no known hidden effect, except for Gierskogul's additional effect Shock spikes

that's not a hidden effect >.> it says it on the damn weapon info XD there must be more hidden things that people just ignore, don't report (of all the like.. 3 people that have it.. though I think they are JP anyways), or just don't see for themselves. I would expect it to have a higher TP gain compared to the other weapons if anything.
