NPC storyline is good enough to cover for this ;3. Plus Dynamis never had a good plot. I wouldn't surprise this turns out better in the end.

Cause it's a race to beat it? Even though no other LS even feels like going in for no reason. But omfg it's CKD they have to have another thread saying "CKD beats w/e first" so they can feel more important about themselves.

IMO there are 3 ways to do new stuff in this game.

its MOST fun if you figure it out yourself.
its also somewhat fun to do it after reading about it.
it is not fun AT ALL to fail over and over after trying stupid random things out.

And because of lock-out timers and better zones with better drop rates you MIGHT see these new areas AT MOST once per month, you don't want to fuck around trying stuff out.

I'd have LOVED to have gone into proto-ultima fight and learned it and experimented, but fuck burning 3 weeks of farming chips for it, I took every gd peice of info I could get my hands on! SE is seriously screwing over their game with some really really poor designs.

The past week or two I've come to learn that the game is what you make of it. HNM endgame design was pissing me off, so I just won't do them for a while. I found that theres plenty of other things to do instead of complaining about whats wrong.

I did this a while back, was sick of /stare darters(or waterfall! wink wink) , /stare Manticores for 3hours, and then going to sky, to work for 8hours to fill my linkshell leader's bank up so he can finish his bonecraft to 100, so I just quit all that, loooooong break off all that shit, and the game was fun again, doing other stuff, levelling new jobs, exploring new areas with a friend, trioing yovras when people said "YOU WILL BE KILLED!!" etc. Of course I missed the HNM scene too, so I came back, but it's good once in a while just to go "meh" and not do any of that.

Theres going to be so much exploring to be done with ToUA. I doubt they are going to do a lot of the 'unlock areas as you go with missions'.

EDIT: EFs are so awesome ;o. I remember doing them at level 20-30. They are just damn cool and one of the most overlooked things in the game.

thats what i've been saying for a while :D

on topic: OMG THIS ZONE IS HARD!
today, we killed the flys, and got our subjobs. took too long because we werent exactly sure where the flys were, but now we know, so that should be quick next time. We also killed fairy ring (while he killed nearly all of us in the meanwhile). After that, we "attempted" the malboro boss, and got owned so bad.... I believe the nightmare malboros are linked hate, but not sure... they move at faster then flee speed, you cant actually see them running, they just warp to the next person they want to kill (which is usually the same target as the boss)
kinda stumped on what to do.. next time we try we will have more time to mess around with the bosses, but other then that, this zone is really hard lol.

trade 12 lathiene cabbages to Maat and he'll give you the key item "Air Raid"...use this and you'll be able to 1-shot the malboro, and just about every other nightmare insect in the zone
