    The 'curse spikes' effect actually procs fairly often if you're wearing the Igqira body, hands, legs, and head all at once. Just send a bunch of BLMs to stand next to him and cast ancient magic at the beginning of the fight and he'll be cursed in no time.

    Except the curse effect doesn't really do that much. '~' Nowhere near as powerful as a Ghost's AoE curse or something like that.

    From what I've seen, the Igqira curse reduces max HP by around 10-11%. That isn't a whole lot for pretty much everything out there, but 10% of a CoP wyrm's HP is probably quite a bit.

    I hate Black Mages so much in Beaucedine and San d'Oria. If you happen to get charmed you almost always go after a Black Mage and inevitably get cursed.

    everytime i curse a mob w/ this it is left w/ 89% HP from 100%.

    My Ls has a bunch of people who haven't beaten Diablos but they want to fight Ouryu. Can they enter the bcnm or do they need to beat the Site B version of Ouryu first?

    Hello!
    During my search about Ouryu BCNM informations a friend of mine found this thread and I decided to post some questions. I'm not a member of this LS and I'm not even sure that we play on the same server so if my presence here could be consider "not fair" I really apoligize and please forgive me (and forgive my poor English... I'm Italian °_°; ).

    My LS got 3 Cloud Evokers from several ENM till now and we want to confront Ouryu but we have never fought a dragon and I don't know any strategy.
    Can you tell me a good alliance set up for this BCNM?
    Who is the best tank in this situation? NIN or PLD?
    Someone told me that with drogons is good to have lots of SMN keeping earthen ward always up, is that right?

    I'm also worried about Ziryus and elementals: how can we handle them?
    I thought that maybe 2BLMs and a RDM could sleep>nuke>sleep>nuke them every time they spawn but with 3 people kept busy the alliance fighting Ouryu wil be recuded to 15 =_

    Did you bother to read the thread at all? All the information on the BC necessary to win is in this thread or is heavily hinted at in this thread.

    If your LS isn't experienced with wyrms, don't even bother.

    You'd just be wasting the first two evokers and maybe actually winning the third attempt.

    entering a capped zone removes all buffs you previously had, last I checked this includes reraise

    Did Bahamut last night. After the win you are booted out and all buffs but signet are removed. A number of the melee were whining cause they had to take r1's since most of them got pwnted by Megaflare at the end (I lucked out and lived, <3 Stoneskin lol).

    Edit: I was still alive when I got booted after win, so my effects got wiped. I don't know whether the people who needed r1s didnt have the chance to get RR back up within the bc before they died, it got dispeled, or it wore when zoning. It might be that the cap kicks in and effects are wiped once you are ALIVE in the zone, whether by zoning or being raised.

    For Ouryu, when you go in you can use RR items (hairpin/gorget). When you are dead and booted you still retain this RR. If you notice dead people still have their high level gear on after being booted out... you are not re-level capped until raised in the zone. As soon as you raise you get the message you are capped at 40, not before. I know you can RR2 after being kicked out while dead.

    Don't you access the BC from Monarch Linn? I don't know anything about the Bahamut or Ouryu uncapped fights, but just assuming that that's the BC you enter...in which case, Monarch Linn isn't capped, transferrence areas like that never are. (i.e. spires in Promy, the Shrouded Maw, etc.)

    Ouryu and Bahamut have their own special portals to enter their BCs. The portals are in the level capped Riverne, not Monarch Linn.
