Lol ya, it was hard narrowing it down to 5, thats mostly what I've been listening to lately I guess, I'm huge fans of those 3 bands as well Iced Earth actually got me into metal, but I honestly don't listen to them much anymore, Iron Maiden is classic, can't deny them though

I didnt like last 2 CD from Iced Earth sadly. I forgot who left the band, but it was not a good thing . Horror Show and Last Saga still rank high in my favorite album list.

Matt Barlow left the Singer and Tim Ripper Owens is now singer (ex - Judas Priest) and i dont like the new album either

Barlow was one of the best singers in metal I've ever heard, his style was so unique and powerful. Hope one day he'll return to heavy metal.

Owens is a great singer, but its not Iced Earth without Barlow IMO. I saw Owens in concert, and he did a REALLY good job, but its still not the same. Plus John just isn't writing the same stuff he used to, its not as good as it used to be, so ya, the Gettsyburg trilogy of the new album was awesome, but the rest of it was pretty crappy

Moonlapse Vertigo is the best intro to any song ever. I read somewhere that the reason they never play it live is because the opening requires four guitars to play properly which obviously they can't do.

Yeah Moonlapse has a 4 part intro, I believe it's 2 electric, 1 ebow electric, and 1 acoustic.

I don't think they have a best song but bleak is just as good as the rest I do have my favorites though
