my experience with GM's are awesome ive even had one that hit on me once lol. but yeah ive met tons of awesome GM's and i usually talk about the problem and then they answer/fix it and then we converse a bit on just normal everyday stuff in game or RL and then they go back to what they were doing. only lasts a few minutes since they must have like 30+ calls waiting lol but there really helpful and fun to talk to

It's far more effective as a police officer to hide your car and catch a speeder then it is to leave a patrol car out with no one in it. Not that hard to see no one is inside the car.

so would you also say it's far more effective to have police hidden when around the president (or someone famous that someone might wanna kill) instead of out in the open? You know.. catch the killer in the act! (after they have stabbed or shot someone.. kinda like how a speeder is caught after speeding?) good fucking job!

I dont know what your saying lol. Id say it would be better to have people out in the open.

Ahaha. Haven't had that many run-ins with GMs personally, but at least one of them knew I'm married in game and told me to greet my husband right as the convo ended. I was freaked.

I called GM once. Here's how it went:
GM:Hello Shigemo, how many I help you today?
Me: Hello, I'm calling you because I'm trying to claim an NM, but the same party of gil sellers monopolize it and I don't stand a chance to get the claim.
GM:Are you sure they are gil sellers, have you tryed talking to them?
Me: Yes I tryed but they don't answer me. Also, they are always there (almost everyone on my server know those gil sellers). They even laugh at me when they get claim + the drop.
GM: I'm afraid I can't help you with this matter.
Me: If only you could see the situation, you would understand.
GM: I am here.
Me: Where?
GM: Behind you (Like a red angel of Fire appeared!!!! The 1st and only time I saw a GM. I was so excited (I was shaking in real life)!!!!)
Me: Wow, so you are here!!! Do they see you? (I was talking about the gil sellers around the NM camp)
GM: I made myself visible to you only so no, they don't.
Me: Check this out, they started pulling mobs around and are all calling for help at the same time, they do this each time the NM is about to pop.
GM: I'm looking
Me: Look they got the claim again T.T! (the NM popped and instantly they got it, fast like hell)
Me: Can't you do something, they are monopolizing the NM and are always there! It's the 17th time I see them do this.
GM: I'm afraid there's nothing I can do. I play also and have a character. It is frustrating but there's only 1 thing you can do.
Me: What can I do? I'm tired really tired of this, you saw them with me!
GM: In your playonline viewer, in Support & Services, you can write a letter to Square Enix and tell them about this, how this disturbs you as well as many players. It's the only way to stop them
GM: Ask your friends and ls mates to do the same.
Me: Ok, I will ; ;
GM: Is there anything else I can help you with?
Me: I'll be fine, I just hope it ends one day
GM: Remember what I've told you.
Me: Bye

Then I talked about this to my ls mates, my ls leader started to say "What, you called a GM for this, GMs are useless!". Then my ls leader started talking about how many times he went to ffxi jail for MPK and making fun of GMs. That's how the story ends.

GMs can't fix the problem. It's like you're bitching at a traffic cop about how much traffic there is and how the city ought to build a new bypass, then getting pissed off when he tells you to write a letter to the city council rather than going and building it with his own two hands.

I'm cool with GMs. They do what they got to do. I love their look by the way :wink:
