Shura Haidate Vs. Byakko's Haidate

Has anyone had the chance to parse these two? Is there a definite answer as to which is better? I have the Shura Haidate and they're nice.... but the thought of Byakko's still makes me drool. The +5% Haste is really really nice, and +15Dex is insane. Stack that with an osode, crit merits and destroyers crits would go up considerably, and probably parse much higher than Shura Haidate.

I assume you're referring to MNK. If you're talking about NIN then it's Byakko's 100% no contest, on a SAM or a MNK then yeah I agree Byakko's for TP and Shura for WS.

Not really, only one parses higher. Not really accurate to say "take your pick, they both work." Thats not the guys question, he wants to know which is better, assuming in a KRT situation or merit PT. 90% of situations Hadaite will get you TP quicker, help you hit more accurately (15dex blows away 7acc) and in the end cause you to do more DoT. Nothing beats Shura for WS though.

15 DEX is 7.5 acc, so I don't see where the blowing away part comes in. I'm not even sure the game works in fractions with acc. That said, Byakko's are still better cause they'll give you that one extra hit every 20 rounds, and extra attacks outweigh almost anything else in this game. Hence when Double Attack, Triple Attack, Homam body (arguably), and Brutal Earring all own.

Thats like saying 15STR only equates to 7.5att, 15VIT only equates to 7.5defence...There's a reason I said it blows it away, and its cause it does. 7ACC doesnt do jack, whereas DEX helps out immensely with accuracy and crit hit%. (Think...15dex is like 20 lvls worth of DEX increases, essentially making you lvl 95 when it comes to your DEX stat.)

ACC doesn't do jack?! It's the most important stat when it comes to DDing if you've merited your weapons at all! 15DEX has been parsed to be about 1.5% more crits, which is nice, yeah. But it's certainly not more important than 7 ACC.

If you fail to realize how pure ACC gear has diminishing returns endgame, then I dont know what to say. As my WAR, using a Axe/Sword, I hit 95%+ on Aura Statues, not using any ACC specific gear. (I have acc on stuff like A.Hauberk, some on Mufflers/Celata) but for the most part its a STR/Att build, and I still hit 95%. Alot of that has to do with my +35dex from gear, (Rajas, A.Hauberk,Hadaite,etc) and little to nothing to do with the miniscule Accuracy Bonus I get from my gear. 10 ACC end game will roughly equate to 1% increase in hit%...if that, when using Sushi. 15DEX would give alot more then that, in addition to increasing crit-rate like you said.

Shura is nice, but Byakko's is sexy. You should make an effort to swap gear for WS, only place you shouldn't is like in dynamis or other laggy situations. Gear swap macro's are good.

From my understanding MNKs don't actually use sushi for meripo, but otherwise I agree with you completly other the only accuracy I wear in meripo with warrior is Unicorn cap, Maneater, R.K.Collar, thats it, I even wear Byrene.

do mnks really have that much gear that they're hurting for inventory space?

Not attacking, because I've never leveled mnk to 75, but I can't see them lugging around more crap than I do, and I (if not lazy) consistently have 49-55/60 with full gear (excluding stupid shit that I never use, like republican circet and reraise hairpins). I don't see mnks needing 3-4 sets of gear to mix and match, or 8 different weapons. I guess maybe mnks have more consumables (I only have apple pie+1 and echo drops)? Or warp cudgels maybe.
