Why do you think DRG was so popular when FFXI first came out? I tried to name my guy Kain...tried so many variations, and everything was taken. He's truly one of the coolest FFIV characters. Oh yeah FFIV Advance rocks too, the dialogue is soooo much better.

No, I'm clueless. I thought it was pretty apparent I meant when NA PC Release came out. The game had been out for 8hours on the PC and every variation of Kain had been taken. Devs have told us that DRG is VERY popular with the Japanese, and many people during NA PC release wanted to be a DRG or a DRK, and 99% of the dragoon phenom came from Kain being such a badass, and everyone associating Dragoon with how good of a character he was. Obviously....none of that ended up being true.

it was true at the time though, DRG was a really good job at NA release because of Pentathrust TP return and the lack of Lv 3 SC. it's a fairly good job till around Lv 60 before everyone else has a Haubergeon.
