Shura Haidate Vs. Byakko's Haidate

I can't even fit all my MNK gear in inventory, depending on what I'm doing I have to leave certain things in safe. (Chi pieces, SATA pieces, counter/hp pieces..)

I'm not gonna go and list everything because I don't have all day, but a MNK with gear for different situations will contantly be out of inv. Pretty sure the same is true of most jobs since I get the same problems on WHM and on THF.

Well if we're talking gear swapping for WSes... Let's see:

2x STR rings
Shura Zunari-Kabuto
Shura Haidate
Kirin's Osode (if you have one >.>)
Possibly Brown/Black belt (if you're using Life Belt for TP, but you should carry Life Belt anyways )
AF Gloves (for the initial 'Boost')


Then of course you carry gear for other situations, such as Chi Blast gear. An ideal End-game Chi Blasting MNK would carry:

Kirin's Pole
Kirin's Osode
2x MND+ Rings
Promise Badge
AF Gloves
2x MND+ Earrings
Suzaku's Sune-Ate
White Slacks +1 (or something of the sort. Can't think of any decent MND+ leg gear off the top of my head)
Twinthread Obi +1


Then there's gear you should carry for JAs and the likes:

AF Head (Focus)
AF Gloves (Boost)
AF Body (Chakra)
AF Boots (Dodge)
AF Legs (Tanking or for when you have hate. The Counter+ and Guard+ is real nice.)
AF2 Boots (Counterstance)
AF2 Hands (Chakra)


I'm probably missing some stuff too... So yeah, we carry a lot of stuff ><

Ummm...if you feel like actually landing a WS you don't take out all accuracy. You realize that, regardless of the job, not everyone feels like gimped their DoT for one big SATA WS, right? And if you're not SATAing WS you don't have everything out for +STR. I hope you're a mage.

And also I use sushi for Meripo. I've parsed yellow curry and hedgehog pies and sushi and sushi always parses higher. Maybe I need more merits but for now sushi is what I use.

Dunno about you, but macroing in all my STR gear works just fine with Asuran Fists in KRT at 75.

Shura Haidate for me. I used to use Byakko's Haidate when I ate Sushi but ever since I got a Peacock Chram I've become Hedgehog Pie exclusive and need all the Accuracy I can get. With Black Belt and March 2 I really can't say I miss Haste+5% and people give DEX+15 way too much credit. zomg leik acc+7.5 and crit+8,000,000%!!!1

Out of curiosity, where are Melee Hose in this? I read somebodies findings once that TP gain from Kick Attacks +5 (now possible to have +10 from bonus merits) worked out faster than either Shura or Byakko's. Can't say I'm a massive believer but it would be nice to see the opinion of someone with full kick merits, Melee Hose and Dune Boots that has used a build I'm suggesting for a reasonable amount of time.

I don't know any MNKs who have Black belt that ever macro it in. They just wear it all the time lol. Seriously aside from the STR the rest of the stats you don't macro in for WS. Haste and Subtle blow are good to have on all the time. Life belt is crap compared to BB.

Uhhh...is your weapon level like 215? You can get the accuracy bonus from sushi in regular gear and eat meat and actually hit hard. Sushi just doesn't magically make you hit, ya know. It adds a number to your acc, a number you can get from gear.

This is why I want a Temperance axe alot. I'll be able to multihit and compete with Joyeuse weilding WAR for TP gain, and I wont miss as much since BST have the A rating in Axe. The dmg on that axe isnt too bad if the multi-hit kicks off frequently

The virtue stones were easy for me to farm, I traded in the Lumonian chip that drops off T zdei's, MNK/NIN + RDM/WHM duo these fine, or, BLM can solo them. They have a high drop rate too, i had like 4 or 5 just from random travelling in there, traded them in for Virtue stones
