A USB Cable looks like this. It just links the computer to the external hardware (web camera, in this case) so they can exchange data (download pictures).

Most computers have at least two USB cable ports (plug-ins) on the back.

Some cameras require there own chargers. Your best bet would be to research it via the manufactrer's website. (http://www.sony.com for example) and see what it requires. My camera can't be charged via USB.

Just replace the battery then, if it is a digital camera (older one at least) then it can't be charged or run off the computer's power like say, my webcam can. My digital camera (albeit older) doesn't do that either.

Listen i'm not dumb i'm just having really bad luck. All I now about the camera is that you take that cord put it in the computer and camera and it will put the pics on the computer. You then can go to photobucket (something I'm very new at) and like host the pics so you can show them on like forums or crap (like a sig or something) by using the IMG thingy and copy and pasting it. I cannot take a pic of myself doing w/e crazy action you want me to do to prove who I am if my battery is dead. You say I can recharge it via computer but ive been trying and it won't work. I normally would recharge it via the recharger but thats laying somewhere in another room and ive been so busy trying to charge it via the computer and trying to defend myself on these damn forums that I never even bothered to put the battery in that recharger. I was just gonna let it recharge over night and take the pic tomorrow. But no that isn't good enough. I'm just making a accuse because I'm really a guy /sarcasim. You people need to stop treating me like I'm some kinda computer genius, or camera genius or w/e cause i'm not. Now give me a break for the love of god i'm trying my best.
