Your argument square sells gil is really backless. You have no facts, and are making gigantic leaps as well as assuming. Just because someone is on 24/7 does not mean they sell gil, even though the people you are talking about probably do. For all SE knows, it is some guy and his wife that just take turns playing the same character, and are saving up for a relic weapon or some shit. As a gaming company, SE cannot assume, because one day they may ban a completely innocent person. This is why the person must offer someone gil for a set amount of money in order for it to be enough proof.

So you're telling us that SE cannot monitor 24/7 players's gilbanks? Its really easy to investigate and catch a gilseller. They farm a certain NM all day, they sell the items on AH, they recieve millions, then they send that amount of gil to an IGE mule. Really really easy to catch them in the act.

I farmed Amemet for a long time to get Light Staff and errant armor when I first got 60'ish way back two years ago... I didn't sell gil. Just because someone camps one NM doesn't mean anything.

SE makes an account. They order gil from him (The lowest amount is fine). When they receive the gil, they can ban that account.

You didn't spend your entire time there though. I mean 24/7. Your gil also wasn't sent to a level 1 mule, and your name isn't wzdrk wzbst wznin like the other gilsellers are. I'm sorry but its so easy to catch a gilseller that a 12 year old could do it. Without fail too.

right! there's nothing in the square-enix ToS that says you can't camp the same NM over and over again. (y halo thar HNM LS camping fafhogg every day). There's also no rule in the ToS that says to what purpose you have to use the gil you obtain. You can horde it, buy gear with it, send it to a mule, craft. SE doesn't care as long as they are getting their 12.95 a month from you. the only actual way to get a gilseller banned is if they offer to sell you the gil in exchange for real life money.

I'm going to call false on that. They have that same banner for all the games they have listed. While some of them might not have their panties in a bunch about RMT, I can guarantee that ALL of them don't send this company their game money.

if you click on the different tabs on the side to choose a different game... they all say the same thing about WoW gold, Lineage 2 money, EQ2 plat... etc.

i doubt blizzard, SoE, SE, the people behind guildwars, etc all got together and formed a RMT site. more likely is the RMT site is just spewing shit out of their mouths to try to get a sale from people afraid of getting banned.

Seems really simple to me... they don't make any money getting rid of RMT. It probably costs tons more to really remedy RMT than the cost of losing business due to the low amount of people who quit because of RMT. Sure, billions of people complain -- but I'm sure 99% of them still pay 12.95/mo. Don't fix what isn't broken. (From SE's business perspective)

They don't 'allow it.' It's just like being a cop. You can not investigate someone without reason to. Any normal person can play 24 hours a day. Any normal person can camp an NM for 1 month. You cannot really investigate a gil seller without them talking about gil selling.

i needed the mule back and all the good juicy fairy drama was pretty much over. i'll have to settle with being a difference maker on odin
