i'd rather take the $4,000 and spend it on something even just a bit more valuable, like a high-priced hooker.


Sundi didnt say they would make relic weapons easier to get, he said that SE intended them to be rare, and he said he didnt expect he'd see alot of them....but i think he did say they were tweaking the currency system a bit.

Its pretty obvious the way FFXI is programmed, nothing can be instanced.

They recently changed the programming of mob behaviour.

Um, even if currency becomes more available it won't change anything imo unless its a HUGE availability increase, because in all other situations its just like this...

- Currency becomes 10x more available for people to buy.
- 10x more greedy idiots that think they can upgrade start buying currency.
- Supply and Demand remains the same.

So the only way to make the price go down is make the availability exceed the amount of greedy idiots. Or make it so currency can be collected solo in enuff supply that people don't have to buy it... that might also fix the problem.

Funny, since BCNMs are essentially instanced (though in an extremely crude way). SE just chooses to spend very little resources on the concept.

Your BCNM 'zones' are all part of the same zone, not instanced. There is something like 10 battlefields and if they're all full then into the queue you go.

New dynaims zones are a rip off. You only get 30 currency still pay 1m to enter and only can get 36 people. I think Square did this af2+1 for the sole reason of slowing relic upgraders down. They probably saw how many weopons people were getting and didn't like it. AF2+1 is basically junk no better then the orginal AF2 which is good enough. Now you have some people that would have sold their currency keeping it casue they say they want to upgrade their af2 to get that white border. Less supply and more demand now nice SE. Prices went up before the recent gil buyer inflation too. It was at 80k right after the patch.

I was thinking, why not just make a dynamis BCNM.

Like 1 pull is takable by 6 people.

If it was 1 stone, that pops 4 mobs, or 6 mobs, still easy @ 75. And it drops currencies, Hundred bills is the "Vclaw" of the BC, possible af2-1 or af2 acessory too

They should of just made relic weapons like WSNM, only 10,000 points for stage one 30,000 points for stage 2 etc... Maybe you only get credit for points in dynamis or something.

Add in some currency to spice things up, but nothing of the level that is required now.

Make it a reasonable expectation that a person could get one weapon fully upgraded in two years with effort not gil or having an ls give it to you.

So in two years you could see a flood of final relic weapons, but who the hell cares? Apparently only SE and the people who have already upgraded.

They could do it like airship though. You can either buy your way with currency or WS your way with 50 dmg rampages and 140 dmg guilloteens.
