Name spelling is never wrong, especially in a MMO, people like to put a twist on common words.

Anyway using a single event where you took more damage despite more resist is pretty retarded, resists have a chance to activate, they're never 100%. That's why once in awhile that lv10 gob will land paralyze on your 75, and that BRD/WHM will Silence Kirin.

Over time and multiple occurences, stacked resists will lower damage taken. If resists always worked mobs that focus one a single element would be a total joke, as it is if you're smart and properly stack the stats at the proper times (ex: flying Tiamat/Jorm) it will make a very significant difference.

You'd have better luck playing onto the fact that my FFXI alias (which is my generic online alias, I've used for the past 4-5 years) is Nynja, and yet my NIN is only lv40, and will be staying at lv40.
